• Verify all freight to consignments while loading/unloading.

• Control, monitor and report all pallet movements assigned to the delivery / pick-up run.

• Ensure loads are secured and protected using whatever appropriate equipment is required.

• Comply with the conditions of entry at all depots and business premises.

• Whilst driving the vehicle obey all speed limits and safety zones.

• Communicate customer problems (actual or potential) to Manager.

About you:

Skills & Experience

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Current and valid MR/HR driver's license with relevant driving experience.

• Must hold a Forklift LF licence

• Experience in pick-up and delivery of general and express freight.

• A sound knowledge of freight handling.

What you’ll do as an On-Site Representative/Fleet Supervisor: 

The On-Site Representative is responsible for providing quality transport and distribution services to the customer whilst maximising the profitability and productivity of the business. You will also coordinate the operations of the distribution fleet, operating out of the customers premises, and coordinate the sortation and preparation of stock to be forwarded. You will act as the key contact point for the delivery partners, customer, and their stakeholders for customer service or operational queries.

Typical duties responsibilities may also include (but not limited to):

• Ensure all deliveries presented by the customer each day are allocated to suitable vehicles
• Ensure the freight is presented to the drivers in required locations and check for damages
• Work closely with customer staff to develop efficiencies, meet KPI’s and improve the customer relationship
• Communicate allocation plans to stakeholders where required
• Coordinate backup vehicles where required

What are we looking for in an On-Site Representative/Fleet Supervisor? What’s important? 

• 2+ years experience in a similar role (as described above). You may also have had experience as a Fleet Supervisor and/or allocator, very transferrable skill-sets for this position
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and work in a fast-paced/pressurised environment
• Exceptional delegation skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• A ‘continuous improvement’ mindset, with great attention to detail

About Team Global Express Women in Transport Traineeship Program

The Women in Transport Traineeship Program is an initiative aimed to promote and provide an avenue to increase and support female participation at Team Global Express. Women only make up 15% of the workforce in operational roles at TGE and our goal by 2026 is to have more than 30% women in the operational workforce.

This traineeship program will empower female employees by providing them with the necessary skills, knowledge, support, confidence, and qualifications to become a successful Truck Drivers at Team Global Express. You will gain a unique understanding of our transport operation and an in-depth insight into the role of a TGE truck driver that will accelerate individual growth and confidence that will put you on the path to a bright and successful long-term​ career with Team Global Express.

After completion of this 12-month traineeship program, you will receive a nationally accredited TLI31222 - Certificate III in Driving Operations and a HR Licence having gained valuable practical, industry-specific experience as well as an exciting new Truck Driving career with Team Global Express!

• Keeping our vans clean and in maintainable condition at all times, whilst also keeping the yard and your personal work area tidy

• Must be able to complete your own vehicle pre-start checks

• Please Note: There is no set allocation of vehicles in this position

• You will hold a Current & Valid C Class License or Higher

• You will be able to follow instructions and work autonomously

• Accurately sort and load freight into designated dock areas and onto delivery vehicles with a high degree of accuracy
• Be able to handle freight items manually and safely as required.
• Be able to use technology to an efficient standard and be able to operate inhouse scanner devices and ensure that any Dangerous Goods to be loaded are segregated and restrained accordingly
• Load and unload general freight of various sizes in a safe and compliant manner

What you’ll bring

• You must hold a current and valid LF Forklift License.
• Must have previous experience in a similar role
• Ability to handle freight – manual lifting of up to 16kgs
• Must have a safety-first approach and demonstrate WHS practices and procedures consistently
• Follow and comply with company procedures, including hazard, near miss and incident reporting processes

About the role

• Team Global Express is seeking a HC Driver to commence immediately in Townsville

• This is a Full Time Permanent role, 7.6 hours x 5 Days a week (7.30am Starts)

• Overtime is available and will be offered on a need by need basis

• Weekend Work is also available with this role and will be offered on a need by need basis

• You must hold a current HC license (or higher). You must also be able to drive a combination of Automatic and Manual Heavy Vehicles

• Must have a safety first approach and demonstrate WHS practices and procedures consistently

• Follow and comply with company procedures, including hazard, near miss and incident reporting processes

• Complete deliveries and pick ups promptly and according to time frames

• Restraining loads safely as well as the correct use of straps and chains where required

• Unload and load vehicles and sort them appropriately and safely

• Scanning freight, freight sortation and re-palletising of freight

• Ensuring the correct movement and distribution of freight in a timely manner.

• Keeping trucks in a clean and maintainable condition, whilst also keeping the yard and your personal work area tidy

• Must be able to complete your own vehicle pre-start checks

• Please Note: There is no set allocation of trucks in this position

What you’ll bring

• You will hold a Current & Valid HC License or Higher

• A Forklift License is also preferred for this role and is highly desirable

• You will be able to work as part of a team

• You will able to follow instructions and work autonomously where required

• You must have Full Rights to work in Australia

• You will have a high attention towards Safety
