A market leading FMCG business with their UK HQ offices based in the South Birmingham area are looking for a standout leader in the Commercial Finance arena.
This exciting position requires a finance professional who can demonstrate their leadership has directly impacted business financial improvements with full autonomy you will have direct access to the group leadership team and your commercial talent will be pivotal and influential across regions, for improvements.
Strategically focused key responsibilities will include:
• Spearheading the optimisation of business processes alongside commercial teams to ensure agile working and efficiency returns on supply chains.
• High level commercial business analysis to produce and build upon existing models to provide insightful data, consistently challenging commercial measures and realignment.
• Championing a new business wide programme to encourage and reward operational support to identify opportunities to make commercial improvements.
• Enhance relations across the executive management team in the EMEA region to identify sales growth, new supplier partnering and cost savings, to include offloading obsolete processes.
• Tailor new management reporting to focus on real time product and market data insights.
• Develop and manage a team of five (UK based) and set a strategy with to implement across business divisions.
The accomplishments required in your career to be successful in this role should include:
• A finance professional and commercial leader with proven experience of managing and influencing divisional and central commercial accounting teams.
• Compelling track record of providing insight into business process upgrades and efficiencies within the FMCG or similar sector.
• Forward thinking with the ability to challenge customer sales drivers and vast experience of implementing data analysis, usage of business models to focus on competitive advantage throughout to include the supply chain.
• Technology savvy, ideally you will have previously been the finance lead on an ERP implementation, well known for tailoring to business objectives and requirements.
• Advanced Excel and BI tools experience to include Business Objects.
• Excellent communication skills, understanding essential BAU in operational teams, whilst progressing with Sales and Marketing Directors on business planning.
Given the exposure to the leadership team and commercial improvement expectations there is a unique career path planned for the successful applicant. A key focus is on retention so you will be expected to be promoted into a Regional executive position within two years where strategic advisory skills are essential.
