Lead activities of all warehouse employees including the chemical lab functions for successful achievement of safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people goals. Manage inventory control and direct material flow to the production lines focusing on process improvements that drive strategic business objectives. Lead a fiberglass boat manufacturing warehouse with hazardous materials for fiberglass operations in resins and gel coat. Develop changes to layout of the warehouse and material delivery processes. Supervise material delivery process through production including accuracy, location, timing, and standardized presentation. Manage safety culture, incident investigation, root cause and corrective action. Oversee warehouse metrics including safety, quality, cost, and delivery with specific attention to inventory and material handling timeliness and accuracy. Plan, organize, and maintain the layout of the warehouse, receiving, shipping, and chemical lab with the latest safety and housekeeping standards that ensures an efficient operation. Implement, and maintain the policies and procedures concerning the receipt, handling, and storage of materials in compliance with the latest safety and housekeeping standards. Deploy Safety Management System (SMS) for power industrial equipment and achieve 85% compliance. Provide performance and tracking data for short stocks, requisition activity, second quality inventory, cycle counts and other ad-hoc reporting. Develop a deep understanding of inventory transaction codes and associated impact to material variance. Resolve unusual inventory transaction or usage and standardize usage of codes throughout the facility. Participate in the daily Gemba process and work with the supply chain and production departments to expedite the critical short stocks. Utilize Six Sigma Green Belt certification with focus on continuous improvement projects impacting warehouse metrics. Appropriately identify and disposition noncurrent and second quality materials in a timely manner by coordinating efforts with the finance and purchasing department. Organize and oversee daily cycle count activities and resolves discrepancies. Ensure Sarbanes Oxley regulations are followed in a warehouse environment. Oversee a team of 40 subordinates (Quality Control Analysts).
Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or related.
Experience Requirement: 7 years of experience as a warehouse manager/supervisor, supply chain manager, materials manager, inventory control manager, buyer or related.
In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience, will accept 7 years of experience in the same fields.
Special Skills: Must have work experience with each of the following: 1) Lead a fiberglass boat manufacturing warehouse with hazardous materials for fiberglass operations in resins and gel coat; 2) Deploy Safety Management System (SMS) for power industrial equipment and achieve 85% compliance; 3) Ensure Sarbanes Oxley regulations are followed in a warehouse environment; and 4) Six Sigma Green Belt certification with focus on continuous improvement projects impacting warehouse metrics.
Salary: $104,000
