• Review routine, complex and unusual documents to verify accounting data, mathematical accuracy.
• Perform account reconciliations; processes, certifies, records and reports receipts and expenditures accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with governing regulations.
• Determine and initiates necessary accounting transactions, enter data into an automated accounting system, compare accounting transactions to source documents and correct invalid or erroneous entries.
• Perform research of current transactions, historical data, source documents, etc., to identify significant changes and determine related transactions and causes, to take and or coordinate corrective actions as needed.

• Ensure requested system changes and updates in the financial systems are made accurately and in a timely manner.

• Route documents to proper approving official.
• Answer questions about how various aspects of the system function.
• Assist with financial system problems and coordinates corrective action as needed.

As a Human Resources Specialist (Information Systems), you will:

• Make recommendations on how to take advantage of automated system capabilities. Assist in solving business issues and implementing organizational and procedural changes and provide advice and guidance to management officials on a variety of complex business problems as they relate to automated HR systems and reports.
• Troubleshoot HR System problems which involves direct testing and reviewing reports of sensitive employee HR data to ensure appropriate functioning and accuracy of data flow from one system to another such as the NFC payroll system.
• Determine the need to elevate system (e.g., HR Connect, ITM, webTA) issues to Treasury's HR Connect Program Office (HRCPO), ITM Program Office, Kronos, Fiscal Service ISS team, system security team/ISSO liaison, or other business partner. Collect all information needed to troubleshoot issues and monitor business partners' progress to resolve issues. Serve as a key liaison with external business partners.
• Lead and perform customer acceptance testing on behalf of all HRSD customers. Coordinate assignment of testers, communications with testers and the system owner, reporting of defects, and validation of defect fixes.

As a Legal Administrative Analyst, you will:

• Be responsible for coordinating and collecting data to determine the method used to identify the impact of the data on the Judgment Fund work processes.
• Research, analyze and document all data relevant to the complex Judgment Fund processes. This documentation provides the necessary data used in the publishing of revised Treasury Financial Manual regulations.
• Analyze cases for irregularities and determine right of entitlement in accordance with established procedures. Must be able to take the initiative in the development of new procedures in complex cases.
• Analyze all cases for the Judgment Fund for amounts from $10.00 to more than $1billion, at each step in the payment certification process to determine the proper course of action.

• Serve as a technical expert and consultant to management, staff and customers on controversial and difficult employee and labor relations problems.
• Provide advice and assistance in situations requiring extensive analysis in which the nature and scope of the issues are complex, necessitating careful study in search of innovative solutions to problems in consideration of the needs of management.
• Review established programs, evaluate their effectiveness, recommend improvements, and redesign as necessary to meet changing objectives.
• Interpret, analyze and prepare responses to new or proposed changes to complex legislative, regulatory, and policy guidance affecting workforce relations. Advise managers and director on the findings and recommendations and brief the staff on any resulting impact or change to program, process, or systems.

As a Legal Administrative Specialist (Customer Service Risk Analyst), you will:

• Monitor securities programs to reduce the incidence of fraudulent activity. The employee will place a hold on an account if potential risk is identified. Once the employee determines the account is legitimate, the hold is released allowing the transaction to be processed. The employee ensures that completed work is compliant with accepted Automated Clearing House (ACH) policies and Treasury securities regulations.
• Gather risk-related data from internal or external sources to analyze, resolve, and reconcile accounting records and questions related to online sales of securities. The data is used to correct fraudulent transactions and ensure accuracy of customer accounts in automated systems. The employee completes documentation to write off debts or letters to initiate debt collection.
• Document and ensure communication with management regarding key risks associated with improper or fraudulent securities programs transactions. Information analyzed by the employee results in suggestions and solutions to management on improving the safekeeping of securities programs and trends affecting the program and/or users. Depending on the severity of the risk, consistent communication with upper managerial levels is maintained.
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of logs and records of information used to monitor fraudulent activity. The data is obtained by detecting irregularities in securities programs. The employee uses the information to propose further investigation if fraud is suspected or to provide testimony if called as a witness.
• Develop and implement new procedural methods and practices or system on ways to control or reduce risk. Recommendations are used to close loopholes that may permit fraudulent activity and in preparing functional descriptions of system requirements. Advice is provided on how to manually correct encountered issues. The employee keeps current on online security measures, tendencies, and fraud, which leads to the development of new or updated procedures.

As a Peripheral Equipment Operator, you will rotate through the following payment operations duties:

• In the printing operations rotation, you will access the Payment Automated Manager (PAM) system applications to identify and prepare files for printing on IBM 4100 high speed printers
• In the enclosing operations rotation, you will gather the appropriate supplies, so the print job is properly folded and placed in the correct envelope with the right insert, if required
• In the mail operations rotation, you will pre-sort and coordinate workflow so the jobs are sorted and prepared for pick up and mailing by the USPS
• While serving as the workflow coordinator, you will monitor the monthly payment calendars and coordinate with the pre-sorter to ensure all the mail required for that day's mail date is sleeved, banded, and labeled.

As an Auditor (Financial/Performance) (Senior Auditor), you will:

• Coordinate efforts on complex, highly specialized ARC programs and/or high-profile project reviews as part of the ARC's internal control and financial management programs, including reviews under the Federal Managers' Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA) sections 2 and 4, Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA), OMB Circulars A-123 and A-127 and other laws and regulations. These reviews are conducted under the guidance of Government Accountability Office (GAO) auditing regulations.
• Lead the coordination of the annual review of ARC's financial reporting controls in accordance with OMB A-123 Appendix A. Work with users throughout Treasury who operate and manage the collections systems being reviewed. Provide technical guidance to other auditors as they plan, prepare, and execute fieldwork program for A-123 using interviews, sampling techniques, observations, flow charts, confirmations, and other techniques.
• Serve as a technical expert and consultant to management, staff and or customers and stakeholders on controversial, complex and difficult audit issues or projects that require escalation; such issues may require the development of unique or new approaches to address issues that cannot be resolved through more routine and accepted practices. Issues may involve executive or senior management interest and or high visibility within the customer agencies, other federal agencies, as well as within the Bureau and or Department.
• Identify and resolve issues and develop recommendations to correct control deficiencies or other special projects and or studies of considerable scope and depth. Prepare audit reports.
