The Role

BizBuySell is looking for a Head of Product who will report to the President of BizBuySell and will be tasked with continuing to drive innovation and value creation opportunities for our customers through seamless and creative product design.  They will keep the customer at the forefront of product design and collaborate and partner with technology, sales and marketing to propel the business forward and achieve growth targets. 

Responsibilities

•Own and drive product strategy for BizBuySell

•Use a data-driven approach to define, track and measure key performance and business metrics to drive customer-centric product solutions

•Partner with senior executives and stakeholders across functional areas and businesses to partner and deliver successfully on BizBuySell product vision

•Establish long-term product portfolio strategy, informed by customers and business objectives, to gain alignment, secure resources and overcome obstacles

•Attract, grow and inspire top product talent as they develop and deliver on their product goals 

Basic Qualifications

•10+ years of product experience within a B2B or B2B2C marketplace environment, and at least 2 years owning the product road map for a digital marketplace or some other customer facing SaaS product

•Bachelors required and MBA preferred

•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

•4+ years leading product teams

•10+ years translating business strategy into customer facing products

•Proven track record collaborating successfully with IT, Sales and Marketing to effectively deliver on business objectives and goals

•Demonstrated experience using customer insights to drive product design and new features

This position offers a base salary range of $150,000 - $270,000, based on relevant skills and experience and includes a generous bonus and benefits plan.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• External applicants are expected to have the following experience: Five or more years of experience directly managing 5 to 10 sales professionals within Commercial Real Estate or Digital Advertising or Marketing, including the ability to attract, hire, train and develop a high performing sales team
• Internal applicants are expected to have the following experience: Five or more years of sales experience plus 18 months at a CoStar Sales Executive level or higher while meeting and/or exceeding sales targets
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Experience leading sales efforts in a highly transactional, consultative sales oriented, fast-paced organization with a short cycle-time sales model
• Experience being responsible for a book of business in excess of $1 million in annual revenue

Role Description: As a Senior Accountant, you will be primarily responsible for assisting in the global monthly revenue close process, including the analysis on accounts receivable and preparation of the allowance for credit losses. Revenue close responsibilities include preparation of (i) monthly journal entries, (ii) account reconciliations, and (iii) variance analyses related to the monthly results. This position will also collaborate with the Financial Planning and Analysis, Billings, Cash collections and Revenue Service teams to assist in the monthly close process and to understand fluctuations from budget and forecast.

The Senior Accountant should have a general knowledge Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) and experience (i) working within a monthly close process, (ii) preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, (iii) identifying and improving monthly processes. The Senior Accountant should be eager to learn and demonstrate strong communication, time management and organizational skills. This person should be highly adaptable to change due to Costar’s rapid growth via organic growth and acquisitions. The Senior Accountant will have a strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. This position will report to the Director of Revenue.

This position may get exposure to technical accounting issues and interactions with external auditors related to the close process, account reconciliations and variance analyses.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly journal entries and supporting schedules and review of monthly financial results.
• Accounts receivable analysis and preparation of the allowance for credit losses.
• Assistance in a variety of aspects of the Enterprise Resource Planning system implementation.
• Assistance with special projects within department or as part of cross-functional teams.
• Research technical accounting issues.
• Work with external auditors and facilitate review of the close process, account reconciliations and variance analyses.
• Ensure timely monthly close and accurate monthly results.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.
• A track record of commitment to prior employers.
• CPA or CPA candidate.
• 3+ year’s accounting experience working in a large international public company and/or Big 4 accounting firm
• Experience preparing or reviewing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Process implementation experience.
• Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills.
• General knowledge of GAAP guidelines and ability to enhance knowledge and apply to a variety of situations.
• Familiarity with systems and optimizing use of systems to generate data for analyses.
• Strong Excel skills required.

As a CoStar Senior Software Engineer you will have a direct impact on highly visible Apartments web applications that touch millions of users. You continuously learn emerging technologies and architecture advancements and apply the learnings to improve Homes’ software product

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and Develop high performance web applications used by hundreds of thousands of users globally. 
• Promote consistent architecture patterns for design and development within and across Homes development teams. 
• Craft elegant and extensible solutions, at scale, using modern Front-End frameworks and technologies to deliver features that people interact with, and rely on, every day.
• Collaborate closely with other Software Engineers across the organization.
• Advocate standards-driven technology.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college
• A track record of commitment to prior employers
• 5+ years of production development experience with React or Angular in TypeScript, or other modern javascript frameworks
• Demonstrate working knowledge of C# .Net (or .Net Core)
• A demonstrable track record of building and launching successful products and platforms
• Deliver products that meet specifications and performance SLA
• Experienced in unit, performance, and automation testing
• Deeply understand what drives the business for which you are building software
• Take an active role in mentoring developers with ability to build consensus

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in relational database design (MS SQL or MySQL) including performance tuning
• Experience with AWS S3, SQS, Dynamo, ElastiCache, and Datadog
