The work - QA Lead

This is a technical role requiring a Test Management and Quality Assurance skill set and sits within the Engineering community. We are looking for an individual to join the technical leadership function with the Core Systems and Transformation Delivery Centre within the client MU. You will have had experience of hands on testing and test management.

• This role is a leadership role within the test community and is focused on Governance of testing within the DC, assuring quality of testing going forward and providing Technical Leadership and Test Management across multiple deliveries and technologies.
• The role requires interaction both with customers and other third-party solution providers to co-ordinate testing with our teams. The role requires current active test analysis skills in addition to a strategic view of how to deliver the testing.

An Engagement Manager is required to join our client's team based in Telford or Worthing. There is a wide range of project types.

You will create, manage and continuously improve one or more programmes using agile and lean principles and methodologies, typically to deliver a specific product or transformation via a number of multi-disciplinary, highly skilled teams. You will work with product managers and the delivery team to establish delivery priorities and plans, manage risks and dependencies, and remove blockers. You will have great stakeholder management skills, enabling you to build good relationships and communicate effectively. You'll be adept at delivering complex projects, breaking down barriers for your team and dealing with escalations.

Role purpose / summary
The Customs Declaration Service (CDS) is the United Kingdom (UK) government's electronic system for handling customs declaration processes. It supports the UK's trade with the European Union (EU) and the rest of the world. CDS allows traders to complete customs information electronically which is then used to process declarations for goods entering and leaving the UK.
CDS will fully replace the existing Customs Handling of Import/Export Freight (CHIEF) system for processing declarations to facilitate the international movement of goods between the UK and other countries and import declarations have already been successfully migrated from CHIEF to CDS. CHIEF will continue to run for a time to aid the transition to CDS ('dual running').
CDS is an agile delivery organised into an overarching programme which directs each of the workstreams. The B&T (Borders and Trade) Business Engagement & Intelligence Team (BEIT) facilitates Software developers and their clients to technically prepare to migrate across to CDS. This requires organised and conformant test data to enable both internal test teams and external software developers to test their software. The BEIT aim through the proficient and timely management of test data into the target environments for release and incident testing.
What Technologies are they required to know:

• Have basic data management skill or understanding of how it works.
• Mandatory Technical Skills:
• Good understanding of SQL (preferably Oracle) and ability to write scripts for data lookups/manipulation.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills especially in Excel.

As a PMO Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting project management and ensuring the smooth functioning of the Project Management Office (PMO). Your responsibilities will encompass administrative tasks, stakeholder coordination, and process management. You'll collaborate closely with PMO Analysts, and other team members to maintain efficient project delivery and contract delivery area.

Key Responsibilities:
You will be delivering a range of valuable administrative services, such as:

• Supporting the PMO Team with financial processes required for the engagements, including generating reports.
• Supporting the PMO Team in the general governance of engagements.
• Input to team capacity planning and work allocation as part of the financial processes.
• Support the Demand & Supply service with onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Maintaining the areas Organisational Chart and distribution lists for new starters/leavers.
• Running reports to track holiday bookings/forecast; ensuring compliance across the board.
