Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Health & Safety, you will operate at a group level, tasked with developing and managing HSE data systems for the organisations' various business units. This role involves conducting data analysis and generating reports to aid in reliable decision-making throughout the business, all while ensuring data integrity and executing project plans in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
As part of this role, you will promote a positive safety culture by complying with the company's HSE policies, processes and procedures. You will support the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives, monitoring KPI's to analyse performance, ensuring data accuracy and reliability. Working with the team to launch a new data processing system, you will lead all data reporting activities using the platform, tailoring reports to meet specific needs and collaborate with HSE & Engineering teams to define data collection and reporting requirements, enhancing data-driven decision-making.
Conduct thorough data analysis to guarantee the precision of reporting outputs and suggest strategies for business improvement and needs. You will be expected to validate the integrity of data used in sustainability and other reports, ensure accuracy and reliability, and create and present visually appealing reports for presentation in both virtual and in-person meetings.
To be successful in this role, you will need a thorough understanding of Health & Safety to be able to understand the data and reporting of findings to stakeholders within the business. Full training on systems use and ongoing support will be provided.
This is a hybrid role based in Falkirk, operating Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm. You will be working 2-3 days per week from home and flexibility is offered to suit your work-life balance.
What you'll need to succeed
- A detail-oriented, accurate approach to work.
- Degree qualified and / or have notable experience in a Health & Safety role.
- Competent in the analysis and interpretation of technical HSE datasets.
- Must have practical systems experience.
- Confidence in translating technical information into a format that works for the audience.
- Experience within an Occupational Health & Safety practice role (highly desirable).
- Proficient in MS Office tools, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio and PowerBi.
- Strong self-management skills, effectively prioritising tasks and managing time in a self-directed manner.
- Exhibits autonomy, confidently making decisions and solving problems independently while aligning with broader goals.
