Hays are actively recruiting Mental Health Practitioners (Band 6) to work in a Children's Services based in Preston. The service is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and full time and part time block bookings available.


Your new role

• To assume responsibility for management of a defined caseload using specialist knowledge and advanced clinical reasoning to undertake assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care programs for children and families, liaising with and referring to relevant agencies as appropriate.
• To take an active role in the holistic assessment and treatment of young people who are presented to the service, with mental health problems and especially those that are at risk of, or have attempted deliberate self-harm.
• Provide liaison with other professionals and agencies in order to provide effective communication, leading to a comprehensive and integrated package of care around the young person, their families and/or carers.
• To offer therapeutic interventions based on evidence-based practice and in line with the NICE guidelines.
• To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge of
  children, young people and their families/carers.
• To provide an assessment and therapy service based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and
  integration of complex data from a variety of sources, including psychological assessments, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations as well as interviews with children, young people and their families/carers.

You will be responsible for the provision of expert project management guidance, support, assurance and resource planning expertise. You will support the continuous improvement of the PMO, driving project management standards, capabilities and reducing risk across the Trust. This will also include line management responsibilities for a small team of project coordinators.What you'll need to succeed
* Excellent interpersonal skills and able to engage with all levels of hierarchy.* Good verbal and written communication skills including report writing, presentations and system specifications.* Excellent IT skills, able to use a wide range of software packages including Visio, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint and Excel.* Ability to keep accurate and complete records consistent with best practice policies and procedures.* Ability to undertake complex audit/quality assurance procedures for board level. * In depth working knowledge of programme and project management, governance and assurance, risk management and benefit management. * Knowledge of current government policies regarding the NHS programme for change is desirable. * Leadership experience and significant line management experience.* Post graduate level qualification or equivalent experience.* Prince2 Practitioner, MSP or equivalent experience.

As a scheme manager, you will be the main point of contact for the retirement living scheme dealing with lettings and allocations, tenancy sign-ups and any issues and general enquiries regarding the scheme. You will ensure the day to day running of the scheme and will manage other staff members to support you with administration tasks and front of house.


What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience of working in social housing is essential and, ideally, you will hold a CIH qualification. Experience of working in a customer-facing role is required, and you will have supported vulnerable adults/elderly people in the past.
