We have an active and growing paediatric research unit based within a new, dedicated and purpose-built Children’s Clinical Research Facility (CCRF), which opened in 2018. We employ over 18 research nurses and clinical research practitioners with a portfolio of over 20 research studies currently in the delivery stage. Over recent years, the department has seen a significant expansion of clinical research.

As a result, an exciting opportunityhas arisen for an enthusiastic, organised and motivated individual to join our Trust as a Clinical Trials Data Administrator,to join our CCRF at St Mary’s Hospital. The post will be funded for 12 months in the first instance. The successful applicant will join a first class team delivering ongoing and ground-breaking paediatric research studies.

The post holder will be required to work with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and external stakeholders to facilitate a highly responsive service. The ability to work independently and follow the policies and procedures of the department is essential. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, flexibility, and reliability and must have an organised approach to work.



The data administrator’s role requires a motivated individual with a background in clinical and research administration in a ward or outpatient setting. The post holder is required to work with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and external stakeholders to facilitate a highly responsive service. They must also have a knowledge and understanding of both clinical and research protocols to ensure subjects’ details are entered into the database and clinical report forms in a timely fashion.

The post is important in the enhancement of the Children’s Clinical Research Facility, promoting its position as a centre of excellence in the delivery of clinical research in a diverse number of therapeutic settings.

Due to the expansion of our service, we are advertising for a permanent Band 8A Senior Clinical Scientist post in Diagnostic Radiology and Radiation safety (RP). We are looking for self-motivated and enthusiastic physicist with a few years of experience and a good background in Quality Assurance, optimisation and radiation protection/safety, to work within the Radiological Sciences Unit (RSU) at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (ICHNT). This post is based in the Infectious diseases ward at St Mary’s Hospital. This is a 100% clinical Fellowship post. The post is for 6 months from February 2025, and a further 6 months from August 2025, or if preferred one candidate could hold the post for 1 year.

The fellowship is suitable for doctors with SHO experience, who are looking to pursue a career in Infectious Diseases, Microbiology or Virology.

We are looking for an ambitious and dedicated individual, who would form an integral part of the Dermatology Team. The post is aimed at IMT2s and the timetable is equivalent to that of an ST3 trainee in dermatology. The post provides an excellent opportunity to acquire general skills for those planning a career in dermatology, either via the Specialty Training route or via the CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route.



This is a busy department, with outpatient activity including General Dermatology and Skin Cancer clinics; specialist clinics at the Charing Cross Hospital site include Hair, Eczema, Hidradenitis suppurativa, and Complex Skin Cancer. A complex Medical Dermatology clinic runs monthly (virtual).



This is a highly competitive post attracting a high volume of applications. Candidates must have GMC registration, NHS experience, IMT2 experience and thorough knowledge of Internal Medicine, Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), and ability to demonstrate commitment to Dermatology as a specialty. We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic, motivated, full time band 7 sonographers to join our busy, friendly Ultrasound team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. We provide a comprehensive (mainly non-obstetric) ultrasound service to a wide range of specialities within the hospital and local GPs.

At Charing Cross Hospital, we perform general abdominal, gynaecological, small parts, Testes, including Head & Neck, venous Doppler, MSK and contrast enhanced microbubble scans.

Experience in MSK would be preferable but is not essential. We would support training in MSK scanning by encouraging attendance to courses and working with MSK consultants in order to gain knowledge and experience and to eventually deliver independent MSK sessions.

Posts are available at Hammersmith Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital and St Mary’s Hospital. Sonographers are not required to rotate between sites and current working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00 but this may change in the future to provide 7-day service.

All three departments are excellent to work in, where further training and development is supported. Regular meetings are held to discuss interesting cases. You will be expected to work independently, however support from other sonographers and radiologists is always available and encouraged.

Candidates must hold PG (cert), PG (Dip) or DMU or equivalent and be state registered with the HCPC if you have an underlying profession.


• To provide an efficient high quality ultrasound service comprising unsupervised scanning sessions within the trust maintaining a high standard of patient care.
• To work as an independent practitioner by performing ultrasound scans to a high diagnostic standard, formulating a report and communicating the results to the appropriate clinician and to accountable for own professional actions. Provide specialist advice pertaining to the ultrasound service.
• Responsible for training and supervision of all staff within the ultrasound unit.
• To be actively involved and assist with the department Audit, Research and Clinical Governance programme.
• To deputise for Superintendent Sonographer.

The Surgery, Cancer and Cardiovascular Sciences (SCC) division is one of three divisions within Imperial College Healthcare Trust. The Vascular Surgery directorate is based at St Mary’s Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital. We also support satellite services at both West Middlesex hospital and Chelsea and Westminster hospital.

We receive around 7,000 new general vascular referrals annually, including both GP and tertiary referrals. Our Vascular Surgery team currently perform over 1,500 daycase surgeries per year and 500+ inpatient operations as part of our elective care pathway. The team also perform more than 600 non-elective procedures on an annual basis.

There are 10 consultant surgeons, 5 specialist registrars, 2 clinical lecturers, 4 Research SpRs, 9 FY2/CT/Trust grades, 3 FY1s, and 4 AVNPs within the unit. The post holder will be well supported by this large clinical team.

A 12 month fixed term opportunity has arisen for a Junior Clinical Fellow within the directorate to undertake various clinical duties as well as academic responsibilities. They will work with the clinical, admin and management teams along with support services to meet the clinical, surgical and research demands on the vascular surgery service at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust with a strong emphasis on education.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and dynamic team player to join a large multi-disciplinary team, in the directorate of Vascular Surgery.

The Vascular Unit has a strong commitment to teaching, research and audit and its work is known both nationally and internationally.

The Clinical Fellow will take part in a resident on call rota which is compliant with European Working Time Directive, with the other SHO level posts in Vascular Surgery

However, all posts within the Trust are constantly under review with the aim of introducing more compliant working patterns, your co- operation and participation in this process will be key

These will be at a Unit level and include the dictation of discharge letters, electronic ordering of investigation etc. and the generation of data for the audit programme and the presentation of patients at the weekly meeting.

It is the responsibility of the post holder to ensure that communication within the vascular service is as effective as possible, keeping both the Consultants, SpRs and Senior Nursing Staff informed of the clinical management of all patients admitted.

Administrative responsibilities- These will be at a Unit level and include the dictation of discharge letters, electronic ordering of investigation etc. and the generation of data for the audit programme and the presentation of patients at the weekly meeting. It is the responsibility of the post holder to ensure that communication within the vascular service is as effective as possible, keeping both the Consultants, SpRs and Senior Nursing Staff informed of the clinical management of all patients admitted. Detailed protocols for clinical management are available within the department and the Trust Intranet which the post holder is expected to adhere at all times.

Clinics- There are out-patient clinics on all three sites throughout the week. There are additional OPD clinics at West Middlesex Hospital and at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. All of the in-patient activity takes place at St. Mary’s Hospital. There are day case procedures at Charing Cross and at St. Mary’s Hospital. SHOs will take part in daycase and inpatient theatre lists, clinics and Multidisciplinary Team Meetings
