NHS England sets the expectation that a person has a Core mental Health profession. This is MH nursing, social worker and Occupational therapist and CAPs who are BPS registered (with additional knowledge requirements) if they have been qualified for 2 years. JOB TITLE: Trainee Dispenser REPORTS TO: Dispensary Manager RESPONSIBLE TO: Practice Manager Job summary: We offer a fully funded training package for Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Pharmacy service skills. We provide support & mentoring for this role which will lead to a dispensing qualification. You will be working in a caring & friendly environment and would also have access to the NHS pension. To attain the necessary qualifications and training to support the supply of medicines and dispensing activities, under appropriate supervision, within Pharmacy services. The role will require the successful candidate to work as a part of an experienced team to provide excellent service to our diverse customer base within our community. Your role will be to develop the knowledge, skills and competencies of dispensing, storage, distribution and customer services, and to implement them into practice. Work to meet the requirements of current legislation, professional standards and ethics. Pharmacy department performance targets and achieves an accredited pharmacy qualification NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy service skills. As a trainee, you will have an allocated Mentor, who will support you to develop a work-based portfolio. During your training, you will undertake work-based assessments complete all your assignments and projects relating to the training framework and present evidence portfolios for assessment within specified timeframes. As a trainee, you will be expected to complete the essential elements of the training programme within a 12-month period. There is an initial 3-month probationary period where you will be assessed. The Mental Health Support Team in SEN schools are undergoing a majorexpansion, with our services across Hertfordshire and West Essex. We areseeking to appoint a motivated, committed, flexible and forward-thinkingTrainee EMHP (Educational Mental Health Practitioner), who is committed to supporting Children and Young People (CYP) with SEND. The Mental Health Support Team offers early intervention mental health support, to children and their families, within schools. The Sens MHST is the only MHST within the country, to offer support specifically to SEN schools we are hosted by the PALMS service, and work withinHertfordshire and West Essex. We currently work in 20 SEN schools with a plan to expand,offering tailored support to children with additional needs, learning disabilities, and Autistic Spectrum Disorder aged 5-18. We offer group work, individual interventions with child or family, and support the school to develop their whole school approach to overall wellbeing. This is a very exciting opportunity to participate in a fully funded qualification, at the University of Reading to become a fully qualified EMHP. You will be working in a variety of school environments across Hertfordshire and West Essex, combined with being part of a virtual team to deliver our service. We operate from 7-7 Monday to Friday.You will be required to fully participate in the Educational Mental Health Practitioner training course, whilst receiving continual supervision and support. The post is fixed term for one year with high potential of extension and will be full time; and you must be prepared to carry out travel to the University of Reading, and fully commit to complete the fully subsidised EMHP course. The ideal candidate will be: Creative and flexible in their approach. Have a good understanding of children with additional needs learning styles, and how to adapt practice to support children and their families. Able to work and build relationships with a wide variety of professionals, schools, and families. Be able to deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people in education settings. Have a good understanding of risk assessing and seek support from supervisor to manage risk. Have good basic literacy and numeracy qualifications, at a minimum of level 2. Be willing and able to participate fully in supervision. Flexible in their approach and have resilience under pressure. Able to work both in a team environment and autonomously. To exercise responsibility within supervisory, managerial and accountability structures, for the assessment, treatment and discharge of clients To produce a clinical formulation and intervention plan founded on evidence based practice in cooperation with the child young person and carers To hold responsibility for standards of clinical practice within area of work. To work jointly and collaboratively with other team members in order to enhance and develop the provision of services to young people and their families. To have an effective knowledge base of other modalities so as to engage and work effectively with colleagues in other disciplines. Undertake risk management for all children including the protective and risk factors present in the network of significant relationships. Identify and respond appropriately to child protection issues, as described with the guidelines of Local Safeguarding Childrens Board and the Trust safeguarding policies Maintain clear and comprehensive electronic clinical records, to ensure information is accurate and complies with Data Protection Act and professional body and Trust standards. To engage with using routine outcome measures as clinically appropriate including their use in clinical practice and inputting data into clinical records. To work collaboratively with children, young people and their families and contribute to the trusts service user participation agenda.

· To select, label, compound and dispense pharmaceutical products in accordance with a prescription by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and complying with all legal requirements. · To ensure the safe and correct transfer of dispensed items to patients. · To identify medicine related problems or queries and bring these to the attention of the pharmacist. · To answer queries on the supply and availability of medicines, where it is within their competence. · To accurately maintain Patient Medication Records (PMR) to ensure patient safety and in accordance with data protection requirements. · To receive stock in accordance with SOPs · To ensure the safe and appropriate storage of medicines. · To assist with stock control and the maintenance of reasonable stock levels within the dispensary. · To respond to verbal and face-to-face queries of a routine pharmaceutical nature from patients or their representatives and to refer queries to the pharmacist when appropriate. · To liaise with other healthcare professionals to assist in the continuity of patient care across primary and secondary care. · To assist with service provision to care homes including the preparation of Monitored Dosage Systems. · To assist with the engagement of patients onto advanced services and assist with the provision of those services where appropriate. · To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical matters by complying with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements. · To assist in providing pharmaceutical care to patients by carrying out reasonable duties as determined by the pharmacist.

Clinical Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service. Assess and supports people with a common mental health problem in theself management of their recovery. Undertakes patient-centred interviews which identifies areas where theperson wishes to see change and or recovery and makes an accurateassessment of risk to self and others. Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the departmentsreferral protocols, refers unsuitable clients on to the relevant service orback to the referral agent as necessary or steps-up the persons treatmentto high intensity psychological therapy. Provide a range of information and support for evidence based high volume low-intensity psychological treatments. This may include guidedself-help computerised CBT, information about pharmacologicaltreatments. This work may be face to face, telephone or via other media. Educate and involve family members and others in treatment asnecessary. Adhere to an agreed activity contract relating to the overall number of client contacts offered, and clinical sessions carried out per week in order to minimise waiting times and ensure treatment delivery remains accessible and convenient. Attend multi-disciplinary meetings relating to referrals or clients intreatment, where appropriate. Complete all requirements relating to data collection within the service. Keep coherent records of all clinical activity in line with serviceprotocols and use these records and clinical outcome data in clinicaldecision making.
