Main duties and responsibilities Responsible for the overall co-ordination of the medical education programmes at the site, including undergraduate, postgraduate and faculty development. To manage the local delivery of the medical education programmes ensuring that the resources available are fully utilised in the provision of the medical education programmes. To manage and maintain systems and processes for effective, efficient and accurate record keeping for all areas of responsibility and to capture measurable activity which is in line with the commissioners/regulators requirements. Collate and produce reports on areas of responsibility as required by the DME and Education Academy Senior Team. Responsible for circulation of the GMC NTS results and working with the Educational Leads and trainee to put together appropriate SMART action plans. To ensure the Site supports the quality assurance processes of the Commissioners, including Annual Quality Visits, regulatory visits and visits of concern and any follow up action as required. Responsible for managing and maintaining a database for all trainers on site and to liaise with appropriate teams for updates and reports as required. Working closely with the DME to ensure the site meets the requirements of the GMC Standard for Recognition and Accreditation of Trainers. Meetings and committees The post holder is responsible for ensuring the effective management of the annual programme of meetings, including timely distribution of papers. Ensure all Registration activity is in accordance with Registration Authority security processes, policy and rules, and where applicants have difficulty with their proof of identity, help them by negotiating to find acceptable proofs of identity within the regulations. Make accurate computer records of registrations, including making photo images for identification purposes to Registration Authority standards. Maintain tidy, accurate and auditable document records of Smartcards issued and revoked, and ensure cards are issued to the correct member of staff. Train users to self manage their own smartcard (for example unlocking and renewing their certificates) Ensure users have only one NHS smartcard issued to them showing their users Unique Identifier (UUID) and photograph, and that users are aware of their responsibilities relating to Information Governance and smartcard use. Provide a helpdesk and response service to resolve users smartcard problems and emergency situations by telephone or personal visit. Promote awareness of the correct use of smartcards, and PIN numbers. Ensure all registration activity is in accordance with Information Governance policy, Data Protection Act, and Caldicott requirements. Report and assist investigation of any data security infringements or incidents. Report works progress and problems, and carry out general administrative duties as required by the Registration Authority Manager To attend meetings and contribute to project teams as required to deliver effective and efficient registration services.
