Plan and manage audit schedules comprising of internal horizontal, vertical and method witness audits and external surveillance audits for accreditation. Supervise, train and mentor trainee internal auditors, and personally undertake audits of key areas. Provide the Head of Governance and Quality with up-to-date information on the progress of Corrective, Preventive and Improvement actions. Negotiate and influence managers to ensure compliance. Fully support all areas by providing specialist advice and guidance on all matters appertaining to accreditation. Supporting the clinical team to undertake a wide variety of CT, MRI and Ultrasound examinations. Carrying out patient preparation prior to and patient care following the examination and ensure that the patient leaves the department satisfied with the standard of care provided. Ensuring that patients fully understand and accurately complete the relevant safety questionnaire. Ensuring patient identification and safety checks are completed prior to every examination. Assisting patients to get on and off the scanner and position correctly, under direct supervision of the clinical team responsible for the scanning session. Providing the clinical team with practical support during the scanning session to include setting up the correct coils for the different examinations. Answering patients queries regarding the procedure and what can be expected. Providing chaperone support for ultrasound sessions as and when required. Providing support to the clinical team for data input to the MIP PACS system. Liaising with other departments regarding patient details and transport arrangements if required. Caring for patients needs and attend to patients welfare, especially those who are elderly, disabled, confused, anxious. Maintaining clean and tidy working areas in all clinical areas. You will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the the whole team. The Nursing Associate will provide a mixture of general and specific care to a group of patients and will be proficient and competent to work at their registered level. They will work alongside Registered Nurses. The post holder will have completed their Nursing Associate training and be registered with the NMC. Nursing associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment as a nursing associate, and according to their professional code of conduct (NMC 2015). Nursing Associates will be based as an employee within Crawley (North Team) Children's and Young Peoples Community Nursing team, supporting and delivering a mixture of general and specific high quality, skilled care to children and young people (CYP) within the community setting of the Childs and Young persons home.
