• This specialist role in Financial Crime will see you partnering with the business, products and the Risk function to identify, assess and manage its risks within agreed risk appetite, using the bank’s risk framework
• Within this specialist capacity, you’ll make a vital contribution to driving a generative culture of risk awareness, recommending solutions to financial crime risk issues within the businesses, and strengthening the level of ownership within the business

• You’ll work from home some of the time, but you’ll also spend a significant amount of time working from an office or hub minimum 2 days per week

What you'll do

We’ll look to you to deliver a robust risk governance framework in line with the operational risk handbook and conduct and compliance handbook. You’ll also deliver relevant specialist risk activity, to build credible and realistic plans to move and sustain a control environment certification rating with risk appetite.

Your other key responsibilities will include:

• Leading and inspiring a team of business and customer control partners to make sure the team objectives are achieved
• Executing delegated authority, using your financial crime risk expertise to support client decisioning to onboard or retain relationships
• Designing processes which are fit for purpose, and meet regulatory requirements
• Designing system requirements and progressing change requests to facilitate with system enhancements or fixes
• Partnering with Financial Crime Hub teams to provide holistic advice on specific cases, business areas, client types and products
• Undertaking and investigating complex queries through to resolution

The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role, you’ll need good working knowledge of anti-money laundering processes, systems, controls and operating model, as well as experience of reporting analysis to stakeholders. We’ll also look to you to bring excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience of successfully engaging with stakeholders in order to successfully deliver initiatives.

You’ll also need a sound understanding of franchise specific clients, products and services, paired with business appetite and financial crime risk acumen.

On top of this, you’ll bring:

• Experience of working within the approved governance to make sure that any changes to existing documented procedures are compliant with policy and regulatory requirements
• The ability to undertake holistic, financial crime reviews to support delegated business decision making within policy, standards and business risk appetite
• Experience of collecting, evaluating and documenting business requirements
• The ability to analyse and evaluate multiple sources of information, alternatives and associated consequences
• The ability to successfully deliver both existing processes and ad-hoc accountabilities to the highest standards, while managing multiple agendas and stakeholder requirements

What you'll do

This role will see you representing our Marketing function in key stakeholder discussions as a trusted adviser. You'll be developing relationships with key stakeholders across the the customer migration programme and with the wider delivery teams. You’ll need to develop customer communication strategies that balance customer needs with priorities of the business, making sure that our regulatory requirements are met through effective planning and prioritisation.

As well as this, you’ll be:

• Understanding the priorities, aspirations and migration plan commitments of the customer migration programme in order to turn them into strategies and measurable goals
• Delivering against the communications and marketing brief, at all stages of the communication development
• Working with our strategic partners to make sure our activity reflects leading thinking and best practices
• Making sure all communications, especially regulatory/mandatory ones, are in customer language and optimise the customer’s experience

The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with strong customer communications experience in designing strategies and tailoring approaches for different customer groups. Along with great networking and influencing skills, you'll need a proven ability to build relationships with senior leaders and work collaboratively on complex customer migration initiatives that add value and support customer, business and regulatory priorities.
