We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, highly motivated and experienced Therapeutic Radiographer to join our friendly and welcoming team at theOxford Cancer Centre to work in a split role between Physics Planning & Pre-treatment/Treatment .

Our equipment refresh programme is complete with two Varian Halcyon linacs & 3 Truebeams with RGSC & 6Dof couches, one of which has Hyperarc . Pre-treatment houses 2 GoSim CT scanners with auto-contouring software. Our satellite unit in Swindon houses 2 Trubeam linacs with 6DoF couches and a GoSim CT scanner and our single linac with a GoSim CT scanner satellite centre in Milton Keynes opens later this year.

Patients are at the heart of what we do, and we are looking for Therapeutic Radiographers who can deliver excellent care with compassion and respect. We deliver a range of techniques including IMRT, VMAT, DIBH, IGRT, complex SABR, SRS/SRT, TBI - all grades are expected and encouraged to participate in these treatment and verification techniques.

Work as a senior member of the team of Radiographers covering all sections of the department including mould room, CT scanning, virtual simulation and contouring, delivery of a wide range of both simple & complex treatment and IGRT techniques.

Work on a rotational basis through all clinical areas; treatment floor, pre-treatment area and Radiotherapy Physics treatment planning.

Participate in all aspects of the treatment planning service. This includes carrying out highly complex treatment planning, introducing new techniques and carrying out applied research.

Support the team leader in the day-to-day management of their assigned pre-treatment or treatment work area, assisting in the organisation and management of the clinical workload.

Liaising with the multidisciplinary team.

Assist with the day-to-day organisation of a treatment unit to ensure an efficient service is delivered and workload targets are achieved.

Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Delivery
• Support the Chief Operating Officer’s team with the development and delivery of a strategic vision, in line with the Trust Strategy, ensuring that service changes meet internal and external expectations and standards.
• Provide business support to the Chief Operating Officer and the senior team and deal with the day to day operational issues within the Chief Operating Officer’s Office.

The Clinical Innovation Adoption Senior Project Manager will:

We are delighted to advertise a twelve-month clinical Fellowship in Advanced Pain Management suitable to meet the RCOA 2021 curriculum requirements for the Special Interest Area in Pain Medicine. This post is an exciting opportunity for a post-CCT anaesthetist or a senior anaesthetic registrar to join our team and develop their advanced pain management skills. We pride ourselves in training excellence and have received excellent feedback from our previous Fellows.

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join the Nuffield Department of Anaesthetics for this one-year Pain Medicine Fellowship. This unique fellowship is highly structured, combining didactic, clinical audit and research components. The Fellow will be allowed the flexibility to mould the programme to their specific requirements. The Fellow will be provided with an outstanding opportunity to manage complex pain management cases, and to acquire the requisite knowledge and skills for independent pain medicine practice.

· Training in advanced pain medicine, progressing from direct supervision to mentored support. We train our Fellows to the level of independent consultant practice.

· Directly supervised clinics within the OPMC will be available for Fellows to review and assess new patients following a biopsychosocial model and multidisciplinary format in order to deliver holistic care.

· Training will include exposure to assessment of patients with pain in complex scenarios including with psychological distress.

· This post provides exposure to leading in-patient acute pain rounds.

· Access to combined multidisciplinary chronic pain assessment clinics is available.

· Directly consultant supervised interventional procedure lists are available for the Fellow to gain the requisite skills needed for advanced interventional pain management procedures in musculoskeletal blocks, peripheral nerve blocks and neuraxial blocks. Training will include radiofrequency, fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided techniques.

· The fellow will be expected to attend the Optimise pain management programme and gain insight into the structure and function of the multidisciplinary pain management programme.

This is a highly responsible role, and the successful applicant will be part of a team that is dedicated to improving the lives of cancer patients in the Thames Valley and more broadly across the UK. The post holder will work between the Haematology Trials Unit, Late Phase Oncology Trial Unit, both based at the Churchill Hospital, and the OUH Research and Development Team. The two trial units conduct a wide spectrum of Phase I to Phase III clinical trials in cancer with the aim of transforming care of cancer patients. The post holder will be responsible to manage all the income generated from clinical trials is captured, invoiced and received and that expenditure (principally on staff costs) is monitored by Haematology trial units. The post holder will work closely with the R&D Service Manager , the data teams in both trial units, OUH R&D finance teams and the medical and nursing management of both trial units. Ensuring the financial sustainability of both trial units is critical to their success.

This job description outlines the core requirements expected of a Band 5 Business Support & Performance Officer. As such the list below is not exhaustive. Specific requirements related to any specialist area of practice will be outlined with the prospective post holder and included as an addition to these generic descriptors as role specific prior to employment.
1. On a weekly basis working with the trial unit data teams to record money to be billed on each clinical trial conducted by both units, to sponsors of clinical trials. This constitutes the income of each unit.
2. Contacting trial sponsors to make sure invoices are issued promptly.
3. Checking invoices from trial sponsors to correct any irregularities in invoiced issued by trial sponsors and working with trial sponsors to resolve any queries.

4. To maintain and manage user accounts for various marketing platforms and ensure accuracy, continuity and consistency of messaging (wording and terminology) across these platforms and associated activities.

Business and quality control analysis
1. To perform EQA quality control and administrative procedures and record keeping using a range of commercial and bespoke computer databases as directed by the Quality Managers.
2. To collate, evaluate and present complex EQA data/anonymised participant information for various activity summary reports and/or other publications as required. Following evaluation, highlight areas of GenQA operations that may benefit from streamlining and propose changes to practice.
3. To prepare and communicate business sensitive information for the monthly Quality Newsletter for dissemination to all GenQA staff.
4. To follow up Expert Advisor documentation and assist in the administration of Expert Advisors on Q-Pulse.
5. To manage the regular review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other documentation on the Q-Pulse quality management system. Bring to the attention of the Quality Managers any documents that need revision or review. Develop and streamline the associated processes.
6. Perform Scheme audits (both EQA and Office) in line with the Audit timetable and Quality Manager’s requirements.
7. To undertake general proof-reading of Scheme documentation as required.
8. To deputise for the Quality Managers as required.

This is a highly responsible role, and the successful applicant will be part of a team that is dedicated to improving the lives of cancer patients in the Thames Valley and more broadly across the UK. The post holder will work between the Haematology Trials Unit, Late Phase Oncology Trial Unit, both based at the Churchill Hospital, and the OUH Research and Development Team. The two trial units conduct a wide spectrum of Phase I to Phase III clinical trials in cancer with the aim of transforming care of cancer patients. The post holder will be responsible to manage all the income generated from clinical trials is captured, invoiced and received and that expenditure (principally on staff costs) is monitored by Haematology trial units. The post holder will work closely with the R&D Service Manager , the data teams in both trial units, OUH R&D finance teams and the medical and nursing management of both trial units. Ensuring the financial sustainability of both trial units is critical to their success.

This job description outlines the core requirements expected of a Band 5 Business Support & Performance Officer. As such the list below is not exhaustive. 1. On a weekly basis working with the trial unit data teams to record money to be billed on each clinical trial conducted by both units, to sponsors of clinical trials. This constitutes the income of each unit.
