About the Role

City of London Academies Trust (COLAT) is seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant starting in January 2025. You will work in a team of experienced Learning Support Assistants under the direct supervision of the SENCo and Deputy SENCo. You will have experience of working with children requiring additional support needs in a school as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant. Normal working hours are 8.00am - 4.00pm. It is expected that you would be available to support certain meetings outside of these hours by agreement in advance for which time off in lieu will be accrued. There are also INSET training days and TWILIGHT evenings throughout the academic year which you are expected to attend.

About you

You should have excellent IT skills, be well organised and a team player. You will have the ability to build effective relationships with students and deal with unexpected situations during the school day. You must also be willing to undertake further training. The Hurlingham Academy is a very special community. Ofsted officially recognised our mixed comprehensive school as ‘outstanding’ in March 2024 and inspectors saw that ‘pupils behave exceptionally well and achieve highly.’ Our GCSE results consistently place us in the top 5 United Learning academies and our students have made ‘well above average’ progress for the last six years.
