Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Communications and Training Specialist to join our Defense and Security Segment, where they will be responsible for developing, leading, executing, and maintaining a robust communications management plan needed for internal and external stakeholders to advance government modernization initiatives. This position will support a program in U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
What You Will Do:
Lead development of professional briefings that include informative and aesthetically pleasing graphics to be received by government executives and leadership
Lead development and execution of project tasks/deliverables; support the Project Manager in finalizing project tasks/ deliverables.
Lead client meetings, develop/deliver agendas, meeting presentations, and other required documentation for customers.
Help inform decision-making through development of executive briefing presentations, talking points, and strategic communications/ work products such as newsletters, infographics, and other related marketing materials and graphics that promote program awareness and updates.
Develop and recommend training strategies and methods that are best suited for an organization, program, or project based on the operational environment.
Conduct in-person or virtual seminars, workshops, individual training sessions, etc.
Lead design and deliver training materials and content including presentations, job manuals and job aids, and other material to ensure trainees effectively learn the material.
Implement and facilitate new media or new training methodologies as they become available.
Facilitate training evaluation, conducts after-action reviews, and identifies areas for future training development and programmatic improvements.
Support multiple, concurrent tasks, while ensuring technical accuracy, adherence to standards, and timely delivery of all products.
What You Will Need:
U.S. Citizenship and ability to receive a Public Trust clearance
Bachelors degree
TEN (10) or more years' professional office experience; Masters degree may be used in lieu of 2 years professional experience
Excellent PowerPoint presentation development
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in designing, developing and executing training
Critical and strategic thinking to solve problems and develop innovative solutions to client’s management and operational challenges
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-based work environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities and quick turn deliverables
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially MS PowerPoint, and MS Word
What Would Be Nice To Have:
CBP or DHS experience
Master's Degree
Proficiency in MS SharePoint
Ability to adapt quickly and develop successful professional relationships with the Guidehouse team, the customer, and their stakeholders (both internal and external)
Experience in performing data analysis; strong analytical sills with the ability to manipulate and analyze complex data sets.
