- Managing the Environmental Engineering team.

What We’re Looking For: A dynamic Vice President, Engineering with a wealth of knowledge who can serve a resource within their field. What You’ll be Doing:

• Planning, implementing, and directing best business/engineering practices to manage people, resources, processes, and systems. Safely and effectively maintaining and operating Loews Hotels’ facilities, equipment, infrastructure, grounds, fire detection and suppression systems, energy efficiency, etc.

• Ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements. Directing the integration of regulatory compliance activities, programs, processes and systems with field operations, tracking and reporting progress routinely. Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.

• Overseeing the evaluation and selection of major engineering contracts that support Engineering strategic planning and preventive maintenance requirements. • Manage and work closely with service vendors, construction contractors, and third-party engineering teams to ensure proper follow through on work orders, repairs, and maintenance for all assets.

• Establish, communicate, and implement annual objectives and long-range goals for the department. Aid in establishing annual performance goals, plans and accountability metrics for the Engineering discipline.

• Assist COO with capital planning and programs. Manage all Home Office controlled infrastructure capital projects. Provide infrastructure life cycle analysis.

• Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress and cost tracking reports.

• Establish, implement and enforce Engineering SOPs and branded programs, including Preventative Maintenance Standards, quality assurance and asset protection programs/protocols.

• Opening Properties: Confer with supervisory personnel, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.

• Direct the Brand Compliance Inspection program in Engineering and travel to hotels to conduct audits.

• Implement Engineering balanced scorecard and corresponding success metrics.

• Create innovative property operating models that enhance productivity & efficiency.

• Partner with Schneider Electric (or similar vendor) to introduce utility budgeting guidelines for all hotels.

• Create and implement energy savings initiatives and carbon footprint reduction programs aligned with our ESG initiatives.

Your Experience Includes:

• BA in Engineering preferred, additional qualifying experience acceptable in lieu

• PE or equivalent professional certification(s) required

• Minimum of 10 years engineering management experience in hotels or similar required, including at least five years as Director of Engineering for a major hotel

• 5+ years’ experience as a Regional Engineer providing oversight for 10 or more field properties highly preferred

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex projects related to the planning, design and construction of transmission infrastructure.  This role will have client facing responsibilities and requires expertise in navigating the regulatory landscape and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. 

The Project Manager will be part of an established Project Management Office (PMO) within Leidos' Power Delivery Solutions Division that provides consulting services to both public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities. These consulting services provide clients with overall project management tasks in the areas of comprehensive engineering design of electrical transmission and distribution, substation and transmission line projects nationwide.

As a Project Manager, you can expect to:

• Independently manage capital transmission projects, ensuring all phases of approved project assignments are completed efficiently and within scope, schedule and budget.

The successful candidate will have an interest in developing construction work packages for the electric distribution system using various software systems and construction standards.  Distribution systems may be in an OH, UG, or URD environment.  

Project work may include joint use make ready, and street light projects.  Work packages will be developed using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools, Work Management Systems (WMS), and other client systems. • Design and construction work package development of electrical overhead and underground distribution systems (operating from 4kV through 138kV), mostly associated with programmatic work such as overloaded transformers, inspection and maintenance, joint use, and inspection reports.

Leidos is seeking Field Engineering Technicians to provide field inspections of utility poles throughout the Connecticut region. ** This is a remote position, but the candidate MUST live in the Connecticut area **

Field Engineering Tech Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will travel around to sites in Connecticut to collect data, field measurements, and photos of utility poles. These poles have maintenance concerns identified by our client in which our field engineers will document these concerns and collect the necessary data for Leidos designers to design their solutions and fixes. In general, travel will be limited on most weeks, but overnight stays are occasionally required depending on the workload. Technicians are expected to meet the goals / expectations set on a weekly basis by their boss and communicate their status / progress effectively.

• Significant walking is required; 95% of this position requires field related work. Candidate will be required to be outside year-round and every week as weather and personal safety permit and could be subject to inspection of poles in the following areas; urban, rural, backyard pole lines, private properties, and Transmission and Distribution Right of Ways.
• Work locations assigned vary monthly and will be in locations throughout the state of Connecticut. If the work locations are long distances from the candidate’s home, hotels can be provided (including per diem supplements for meals generally between $50-$70 dependent on work location).
• Candidate can either drive their own personal vehicle with a mileage reimbursement ($0.655/mi) or each week they can get a rental truck/SUV paid for by Leidos

Part Time Manhole Inspection Specialist Tasks:

• Perform light PDF editing of manhole inspection documents
• Comprehend the use of document management systems, filing, and document scanning
• Travel to both city and rural areas of St Louis are to inspect manholes
• Perform inspections in company of surface attendants. Must be able to communicate clearly with attendants at all times and function as a safe, precise, and efficient team
• Complete inspection checklist form for each manhole and upload for design teams to complete designs.
• Electric hazard identification
• Track pole assignments within Vector (training provided) and layout your next days work
• Comply with all safety regulations and meet safety requirements to maintain a successful safety record

Leidos is seeking Field Engineering Technicians to provide field inspections of utility poles throughout the Northern New Hampshire region. This role is remote, but the candidate MUST live in the New Hampshire area.

Field Engineering Tech Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will travel around New Hampshire to collect data, field measurements, and photos of utility poles. These poles have maintenance concerns identified by our client in which our field engineers will document these concerns and collect the necessary data for Leidos designers to design their solutions and fixes. In general, travel will be limited on most weeks, but overnight stays are occasionally required depending on the workload. Technicians are expected to meet the goals / expectations set on a weekly basis by their boss and communicate their status / progress effectively.

• Significant walking is required; 95% of this position requires field related work. Candidate will be required to be outside year-round and every week as weather and personal safety permit and could be subject to inspection of poles in the following areas; urban, rural, backyard pole lines, private properties, and Transmission and Distribution Right of Ways.
• Work locations assigned vary monthly and could be as far east as Albany and as far west as Buffalo. If the work locations are long distances from the candidate’s home, hotels can be provided (including per diem supplements for meals generally between $50-$70 dependent on work location).
• Candidate can either drive their own personal vehicle with a mileage reimbursement ($0.625/mi) or each week they can get a rental truck/SUV paid for by Leidos
• Candidate will receive 16 to 24 hours of training with an experienced field engineer prior to working alone. Hours are flexible based on need dates of inspections. Candidate will be responsible for following Leidos safety procedures and reporting progress daily.

Additional benefits that Field Engineering Technicians can look forward to:

• Flexible Work Hours. Many Technicians opt to work 10 hour days and take 2-3 extra days off each week
• Per-Diem supplements between $50-$70 for meals while staying overnight in hotels

Field Engineering Tech qualifications:

• High School diploma minimum requirement
• Preferred candidate would possess experience within the power distribution field and/or an AS/BS in engineering (or related STEM Field)
• The ideal candidate has prior experience doing field work and distribution component identification.
• Candidates must be able to work in both team and independent environments and to organize work to meet deadlines
• Must be local to the area.
• Knowledge of NESC Standards and Client Standards is helpful. 
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) required 
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills 
• Willingness to perform both field and office work. 
• Ability to work long days in outdoor environments 
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to utilize cell phone and 8MP camera
