Our College has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, innovative and dynamic lecturer to join the Aviation, Travel and Tourism team at its flagship City Hub campus. We are looking for someone who can inspire our students and provide high quality teaching, learning and assessment for a diverse range of students.

As part of this role, you will support a dynamic team to provide an outstanding student experience in all aspects of the development of the curriculum teaching and support in the delivery of a fast paced, curriculum area. The Faculty Area covers a wide breadth of curriculum levels from pre-16 and entry level through to adult provision and Higher Education.

What you’ll bring

A key focus of this role will be in driving the quality of the provision and the curriculum offer to meet the needs of our students, employers, and stake holders. Developing students’ opportunities for progression and developing readiness for employment will also be a critical factor of this role. The successful candidate will be required to liaise across other faculty areas; support services; admissions; English and maths and pastoral services to support the learner experience. If you hold an assessor/IQA award this would be an advantage but is not necessary.

Job PurposeTo provide the provision of Hospitality to the relevant floors ensuring that all requests are met. To support the team in ensuring that Hospitality areas on site meet the standards set in every way, and continually look for ways to improve the environment for the customers on site. To act as the first point of call and continually provide an exceptional level of service to all within the building. The Hospitality assistant will work with the team to ensure all levels of cleanliness are to the highest standard.



Responsibilities
-Ensure smooth running of Hospitality services in the building.

-Establish good working relationships with the team to be a trusted team member.

-Always maintain a professional image, ensuring all areas are kept clean, tidy, and ready for use.

-Work with the team in managing Hospitality delivered to site.

-Take responsibility for Health and safety on site and work closely with the extended TFM team to ensure compliance.







Knowledge and experience(Essential)
-Have relevant experience in hospitality.

-Demonstrate experience in a customer facing roll with excellent customer service skills.

-The ability to demonstrate a customer focused” can do” attitude.

-Ability to solve problems for the desired outcome.

-The ability to remain calm and professional when under pressure.

-Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages, able to maintain databases.

About You

Our ideal Hospitality Assistant will have the following skills and values:

We are looking for a Hospitality Manager to support our Moments Café teams across all locations, including Moments at St Elizabeth Hospice and Moments Mobile Event Catering.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a catering management role and be a proactive, flexible and committed individual to ensure smooth operations and achieve growth targets. You will oversee the day-to-day management of the Moments brand and assist in sourcing and pricing new products and menu ideas.

St Elizabeth Hospice is an independent charity and hospice, which improves life for people in the East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney areas living with a progressive or life-limiting illness.

Established in 1989, the hospice has built a reputation for delivering high-level care to patients and the community it serves. Through medicine and therapy, they ease pain; give life purpose and make life liveable. Last year the charity supported over 4,000 patients and their families.

The hospice’s work is centred on the individual’s needs and they provide specialist support wherever it is needed; whether that is in the home, another setting in the community, in hospital or in the hospice itself. Support is provided to patients and their families via the Inpatient Unit, the Community Care Unit including outpatient’s clinics, home visits from the community nursing, medical or therapy team, the OneCall 24/7 telephone helpline and bereavement support.

In 2023, St Elizabeth Hospice merged with East Coast Hospice to form a collaborative approach to developing achievable and sustainable specialist palliative care services for people living in the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area.

Responsibilities and Service Delivery: Ensure an excellent customer experience. Assist in sourcing and pricing new products and menu ideas. Resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively. Support marketing and promotional activities. Maintain functionally suitable facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment across all Moments sites. Assist Cafe Managers in driving business growth. Anticipate and address operational issues proactively. Provide hands on kitchen support as needed.
