9A Valor Point is located within the Community Living Center is a 40-bed unit consisting of 2 programs, Transitional Care and Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program (CIIRP).

Transitional Care (29 beds) is a short stay (less than 90 day) interdisciplinary program which serves medically and psychiatrically stable veterans and provides nursing and medical care prior to their return to a community setting. This program provides wound care/healing IV therapy/TPN, various orthopedic diagnoses, respiratory care; veteran and family education and veterans waiting title 19 approval and guardianship.

The Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program (11 beds) is an acute care inpatient rehabilitation program providing comprehensive care by an interdisciplinary team to maximize function and abilities. This program provides an opportunity for appropriate veterans to improve deficits in mobility, self-care or safety concerns with attainable goals. Length of stay is determined by goals of care.

The Assistant Nurse Manager will:

• Coordinate the day-to-day clinical direction of patient care and nursing services, including the direction of all unit staff.
