• Executes HR strategies in support of the Broken Bow plant.

This position requires that the individual be able to build and maintain relationships with senior level executives as well as employees at all levels. This individual will report to the Director, HR and is critical in helping to implement and drive specific HR initiatives across the organization.  Key success factors are the ability to drive change, solve problems, offer creative solutions and promptly address all business needs. 

This role provides flexibility to work 3 days on site in Tempe, AZ and 2 days remotely on a weekly basis.

Essential Job Functions: 

• Contribute to the business strategy by helping identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes

• Provide assistance in forecasting and planning the talent pipeline requirements in line with budgetary confines and the function/business strategy

• Drive HR culture, training and initiatives

• Develop and deliver HR related training

• Ensure leadership and coaching culture is cascaded through the organization

• Provide clear leadership by demonstrating understanding of business trends and needs

• Drive the people processes (performance, development, and career) to ensure that employees’ level of performance and capabilities meet current and future standards

• Effectively manage and resolve employee relation issues in an objective and timely manner

• Manage specific projects as determined in the annual HR calendar as well as participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives

• Review and benchmark the internal and external environment to improve the HR policies and initiatives to enhance overall business performance and stay informed on relevant HR business practices and in compliance with employment laws

• Identify and interpret HR metrics and trends, offering solutions to the business when appropriate

• Build and support a culture of inclusion and diversity

• Provide expert advice and coaching to employees where appropriate

• Provide feedback as necessary regarding employee and management performance

• Maintain close contact with HR personnel and encourage cooperation and close partnerships across business units

• Identify and drive the communication and sharing of learning across functions to facilitate continuous organizational improvement

• Manage recruiting and retention strategies with business partners

• Performs other duties as assigned by manager

Education Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

• SPHR or PHR certification preferred.

Experience Required:

• Demonstrated budget management and written and oral communication skills.

• 5-10 years’ experience as a successful HR business partner

Key Role:

Engage with clients to help them achieve their human capital goals, directly impacting a growing organization. Administer Human Resources (HR) programs in areas, such as benefits, awards, payroll, and onboarding. Provide guidance on addressing a variety of HR issues and leverage HR subject matter expertise to resolve those issues. Analyze solutions to support client goals, improve operations, and increase process efficiency. Demonstrate discrete handling of all business communication, prioritize workload, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience working in a professional environment

• Experience with using Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 

• Knowledge of HR administration and management principles and practices

• Ability to analyze problems, conduct research, and evaluate options for action 

• Ability to create a culture of engagement, collaboration, and teamwork 

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

• Bachelor's degree

• Experience in the DoD or Intelligence Community (IC)

• Ability to present and explain findings to teammates and leadership teams 

• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and timelines
