Physical Security Support (35%)

• Performs alarm and access monitoring, tracing access patterns, programming, assigning or removing user permissions, updating databases, remotely opening and securing doors during routine and emergency operations and generating a variety of reports as needed.

As a SECURITY SPECIALIST at the GS-0080-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Develop and promulgates security related policies for the assigned regional area of responsibility
• Provides guidance, advice, and responds to a variety of issues and complex problems related to security disciplines.
• Serves as a Security Specialist establishing and monitoring the Information Security Program through the development of instructions, procedures and policies.
• Coordinate and synchronize all activities of the OPSEC program, working with DSCA HQ to achieve mission success for the agency.

This Lead Transportation Security Officer position is located at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Lead Transportation Security Officer (LTSO), you will be responsible for leading at least three full-performance level Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) and, as assigned, trainee and apprentice level TSOs. As an LTSO, you will identify, distribute, and balance workloads and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow and skill level. You will make adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities. Duties include but are not limited to:
