A full-time vacancy has arisen within the Estates Department for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician (Electrical) to provide technical support services for the reactive/planned maintenance work in a variety of settings to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements. Operating as a mobile Maintenance Technician, you will receive your work from the Estates and Facilities Helpdesk.
The Estates Management Team of 40 directly employed staff forms part of the Estates and Facilities Directorate within Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The Team provides planned/reactive maintenance, and emergency services 24/7 365 days a year to 96 buildings across Nottinghamshire utilising mobile engineers across all building disciplines, we ensure that he Trust's buildings are fit for purpose and compliant with current legislation. This is achieved by assigning jobs via the Facilities Helpdesk to our engineers out in the field onto their handheld devices.
A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
You will be expected to organise your daily workload ensuring you complete the tasks in the given priorities. You will carry out maintenance requests in an efficient and effective manner to support the successful delivery of a customer focused estate maintenance service for the Trust.
Performing routine duties, you will have a flexible and positive approach and have the ability to deal with new situations as they arise passing on relevant knowledge to colleagues.

Applicants must have relevant electrical experience - previous hospital-maintenance experience is preferred. You will be expected to attend a five-day electrical to mechanical conversion training course enabling you to work across both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
You would be expected to participate in the on-call rota for out of hours emergencies, covering all properties maintained by the Trust, which will attract a retainer payment and overtime. In additional to your annual salary, a payment of £5,000 per annum Recruitment & Retention Premia will be paid.

Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change.
