Benefits Salary: $87,000 to $100,000 plus Super depending on experience   Task & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Production Planning & Scheduling: • Develop and implement production schedules to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality products. • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to forecast demand and plan for resource allocation. Operations Management: • Oversee all production activities, from pre-treatment to coating, curing, and quality control. • Monitor and control production budgets, optimizing resources to reduce costs and improve efficiencies. • Develop and maintain production KPIs and regularly report on performance metrics. Quality Assurance: • Ensure that all products meet company standards and customer specifications, working closely with the quality assurance team to implement and uphold quality checks. • Identify and address potential issues in the coating process, including surface defects, uneven coatings, and adherence problems. Team Leadership: • Recruit, train, and manage production staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and create development plans for team members. • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, empowering employees to suggest and implement process enhancements. Safety & Compliance: • Enforce safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. • Conduct safety audits, manage incident reports, and implement corrective actions as needed. • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, particularly those related to powder coating emissions and waste management. Continuous Improvement: • Drive process improvements in powder coating application, equipment maintenance, and waste reduction. • Utilize Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma techniques to enhance production efficiency and quality. • Stay updated with industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in powder coating. Qualification & Experience Education & Experience: • Must possess a relevant Bachelor’s degree OR must have at least 5 years of relevant production management role, preferably within the powder coating or manufacturing industry in lieu of the formal qualification requirement Technical Skills: • Strong understanding of powder coating processes, materials, and equipment. • Proficiency in production management software and MS Office Suite. • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (certification is a plus). Interpersonal Skills: • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and engage staff.
