The post is responsible for

• developing quality of services in Bury within that are registered with CQC.
• managing contracts for a portfolio of services within a commissioning work area (e.g. older people, learning disabilities and autism etc).
• collaborating with other departments as necessary, especially with NHS staff and finance, legal and procurement, and with Providers to ensure that quality is understood on an integrated service delivery basis and that contracts are issued promptly and monitored effectively
• contributing to the implementation of commissioning strategies for people and services within this work area
• leading on the preparation and collation of information to support and maintain the development of quality services in Bury and to support the contract monitoring process.

An excellent team player, you will have experience of building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of people including customers, relatives, carers and Providers. You will have experience of working with external Providers, including effectively managing poor performance by a provider of services, to ensure positive outcomes for both the customer and provider. You will have experience of negotiating effectively, and are used to using your own initiative.

The post holder will be a registered nurse with some leadership skills and significant experience as an Infection Prevention and Control Nurse (IPC). They will be able to demonstrate service improvement projects and an in-depth knowledge of associated working partnerships/services that have a direct impact on IPC.



The post holder will act as a deputy to the Lead Nurse when required, and as senior support to IPC staff across the care organisations as required. Job summary: To be the Trusts subject matter expert on all aspects of Data Quality. To manage the Data Quality team ensuring they provide a responsive, high quality service to the Trust. To run regular Data Quality reports to ensure staff within the team are working on up-to-date lists and to see if training implemented reduces inaccuracies in the data. To produce and present reports and statistics including complex information from multiple data sources and components including SPC, trend analysis and focussed action plans to drive improvement. To collate, analyse and interpret data to share with external organisations including the local ICB, NHS E and others as appropriate. To prepare reports for analysis following completion of the monthly audit programme using a range of tools including Excel and PowerBI. To communicate audit reporting to staff to provide awareness of the implications in relation to activity data, performance and effectiveness.
