We have an exciting opportunity for a friendly and reliable Retail Sales Advisor to join the team at our Brewers Decorator Centre in Fulham to provide exceptional service to our customers in our store. You will play a vital part in helping serve customers and keeping the branch running smoothly - experience with our products isn't necessary, if you bring great customer service and team working skills to the table, we'll give you everything you need to succeed. This role will also include some cover at other local Brewers stores so candidates will need the ability to drive.
Known as The Decorating Centre, our store in Fulham stocks a great range of decorating products from the likes of Dulux, Johnstone's, Crown, Farrow & Ball and many more as well as woodcare, wallpapers and decorating sundries. Branch opening hours are Monday to Friday 7.00am – 5pm and Saturday 8am – 5pm.

As a Retail Sales Advisor with Brewers, some of your responsibilities will include:

Outline of the role

The Retail Apprenticeship will involve working in our store as a full -time team member, helping with every aspect of creating a great customer experience and learning about how a retailer operates their business. Our client is a well recognised branded award winning energy supplier in the U.K. selling energy to domestic consumers in your local area.
As such to help with their growth they are looking to expand their team of domestic energy advisors to sell door to door a range of products and services and give advice on energy saving and budgeting tips to all demographics and meter types.

You will be positive enthusiastic have a genuine concern for saving people money and giving them positive helpful advise and customer service to reduce their energy bills from a trusted household brand.

You will be experienced in customer facing field sales however some tele sales candidates may be considered

You will be employed direct for the client on a full time contract with all the benefits you would expect from a blue chip company.

Full initial and on going training will be provided along with all the tools you would need to do the job including branded uniform and tablet.

You will be well rewarded with a basic pay of £419.00 per week plus on target commissions of over £680.00 per week completely uncapped

Car not essential depending on experience and location.

The Role

This is the ideal role for someone at the start of their career OR someone interested in entrepreneurship or startups - learning about both sales and marketing and how they feed into each other. You’ll be supporting the key operations of the WorkinStartups site, first and foremost speaking directly with new and existing customers, gain hands-on experience on end-to-end sales, as well as creating content for the weekly newsletter and WorkinStartups website. You’ll sit at the centre of our community, reviewing and approving new startups requesting to join / getting customer feedback on a daily basis therefore spotting the most innovative businesses and brightest ideas early on that could turn into new partnership opportunities, a critical article or discounted offer for our community - this is a role where you can make a real difference from day 1! From sales and marketing, operations, product, design and web development - this role will give you the opportunity to get a 360 degree view of what it takes to run a small business, a startup role as good as it gets!

About you

This role would suit a person who thrives on working with people and building relationships as well as copywriting and storytelling. Someone who enjoys multitasking, focusing on a great variety of tasks & solving problems instead of focusing on one niche area. Team fit will be key so if you are a critical thinker who is passionate about the startup industry and questions the status quo, curious about how we can create a better world of work in the future please get in touch!
You’d be able to generate ideas for our newsletters, and work on a great variety of subjects from remote working lifestyle, startup funding, diversity, sustainability and impact startups = any prior experience in these areas would be nice to have but is not required, for us passion & motivation is key! Hence, we will prioritise applications including cover letters outlining the motivation for this role.

Previous interns at WorkInStartups and Adzuna have gone on to secure roles within the business or have great success in other sales and marketing roles in other companies we have referred them to, so while we make no promises about a permanent position, we would welcome applications for those who are looking for a career in the above mentioned areas beyond the initial 6 months internship.

This role is all about providing great customer service to professionals & DIY enthusiasts, in store and when carrying out deliveries to homes and businesses.

The role
* Mix paint to customer requirements
* Engage with customers and provide product advice
* Deliver orders to customers
* Collaborate with colleagues to reach store targets
* Follow the merchandising plan to restock the shop floor
* Provide feedback to improve our overall service to customers
* Carry out daily/weekly van inspections & report any concerns
* Provide great customer service
* You will be expected to split your time between making store deliveries and working in store as a sales colleague.
