Conduct a tender process for selecting a third-party developer to provide AI-based communication skills training. Collaborate with SMEs and the provider to develop communication scenarios that align with ACCEND capabilities, and create a marking scheme for assessment. Lead consultations on developed scenarios, gathering feedback to refine and validate the training material. Develop and distribute promotional materials to support the rollout of training programmes. Support discussions on developing a sustainable model for extending CCT access beyond research nurses. Collaborate with the Research Clinical Lead, Research Pathway Manager, and Senior Programme Lead to support project delivery and strategic alignment Data and Information Identify and engage clinical nurse specialists (CNSs) within the breast workforce for pilot testing communication training simulations. Establish baseline data for CNS participants, monitoring progress and outcomes throughout the pilot. Identify and track key metrics to measure the impact of educational activities on the workforce. Ensure that data is managed effectively and meets GDPR requirements Planning and Reporting Evaluate the workforce impact of the education provided, using data-driven insights to refine and improve offerings. Track and evaluate the effectiveness of CCT, including peer support meetings and evaluations of training initiatives like CanSurviveUK. Oversee budget management Lead sustainability initiatives, working with other cancer alliances and research organisations to promote and license the educational offerings for further use. The General Medical Council are currently looking for a Research Manager to work in our Data, Research and Insight Hub, the Research Manager will be responsible for developing, managing and ensuring the delivery of key individual research projects as part of the GMC's research programme. Delivered by a small team of research managers, the research programme provides the GMC with crucial intelligence and insight to inform our policy development and decision-making. We do not fund or undertake medical research and you don't need previous medical experience.

Summary of the role

• Although the majority of the research programme is commissioned, a significant minority of projects are undertaken in-house and research managers will be expected to deliver both types of project.

Audience Research and Advocacy is part of Science Museum Group's (SMG) Communications department. The team does this by working with visitors and people who currently do not see our museums and sites as places for them, researching their needs, wants and expectations and sharing lessons learned.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to manage the team across SMG, in close collaboration with the Audience Research Manager based in the South, to aid SMG's mission to inspire futures. As Audience Research Manager you will apply your knowledge and experience of audience research to develop and deliver an engaging and inspiring offer for all audiences, supporting SMG's 'Open for All' policy.

You will manage the team, planning and co-ordinating strategic audience research and evaluation. You will use a 'science capital' approach in all your work to encourage equitable focused practice and ensure a broader people feel more at home with science.

In this role you will manage budgets and foster relationships with stakeholders, including commissioning and managing work by external research contractors so that high-quality and actionable findings are delivered to project teams on time and within budget.

About you
Joining us you will have experience of people management, with the ability to manage, influence, motivate and coach team members. You will be a good communicator with the ability to develop relationships, advocate for your work and influence senior stakeholders.

You will be able to manage budgets and projects successfully from conception to delivery, with effective planning and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and coordinate multiple projects to meet conflicting deadlines.

Crucially, you will have experience planning complex audience research projects, using audience research methodologies, in addition to experience working with people from a range of potential museum visitor groups e.g. families, adults, community groups, education groups, visitors with additional needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Planning and Organisation Contribute to the strategic planning of observational and supportive care team projects and developments, identifying interdependencies across projects/functions, potential impacts on wider organisation, resource requirements and building in contingency and advising on necessary adjustments. Establish working practices to ensure data is accurately collated and maintained, including externally facing information e.g., web pages Ensure research outputs are communicated appropriately Communication Communicate complex research information in written and oral format to internal and external parties Work, liaise and communicate with colleagues across the Trust, including service support areas to improve the delivery and quality of research and research services Where appropriate attend observational and supportive care team meetings to present information. Represent the observational and supportive care team projects at national conferences and workshops, leading on presentations as required. Work collaboratively within all teams in the Division of Research to maintain and enhance partnerships withpharmaceutical companies, other NHS sites and academia.

The post-holder will take responsibility for the effective management of the GM. Digital Research Unit (GM. Digital RU), which is a collaboration between Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) and The University of Manchester.

The GM. Digital RU focuses on developing and delivering interventions to provide better outcomes for children, young people and adults experiencing mental illness. By using innovative digital technologies, we hope that these tools will become more accessible and acceptable, and that this support will be able to help larger groups of people over the coming years.





The post holder will work across a number of high-profile research projects led by the GM Digital Research Unit. For example, the Enhancing CAMHS referrals project (EN-CAMHS 2) is looking at improving the quality of referrals to CAMHS services. Another project is the Core Mental Health Data Set (CMHDS) project which aims to work with people across Greater Manchester and the UK to understand people’s views about collecting mental health information alongside physical health information. The project aims to co-create a ‘common mental health dataset’ that would collect mental health data in physical health studies, and trial this across multiple physical health studies. The post holder will also work across various other projects and activities within the Digital Research Unit related to digital mental health.

Research
• Take overall responsibility for the efficient day-to-day management of the GM. Digital RU.
• Work with the Directors to ensure the Unit’s sustainability via grant income from external funding bodies e.g., NIHR, charities etc
• Support the Directors to develop and implement plans for sustainable income generation beyond funding bodies e.g., training, consultancies, and service evaluations
• Oversee and contribute to writing and finalising funding applications for research within the GM. Digital RU
• Act as the primary point of contact for all external and internal agencies
• Oversee and lead on the project management of RU projects and activities, setting timelines and milestone and adhering to reporting processes.
• Ensure all research procedures are conducted according to Research Governance Framework, National Research Ethics Committee (REC), guidelines for Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Data Protection, including providing assurance that personal and confidential information is restricted to those entitled to know

Policy and Service Development
• Follow professional guidelines and standards, Trust policies, and team procedures, protocols, and guidance in completion of work tasks.

Human Resources
• Undertake line management responsibilities, including appraisals and supervision of researchers, administrators, and volunteers
• Contribute to and ensure completion of induction of new team members including researchers, undergraduate placement students, volunteers, and study administrator
• Contribute to the supervision and mentoring of RAs
• Ensure adherence to Trust Health & Safety, People and Organisational Development, Research Governance, and other relevant procedures.
• Communicate effectively with service users, carers/relatives, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders
• Ensure sustainability and effective coordination of the Youth Connection Young People’s Advisory Group and Volunteer Digital Navigators Programme and other patient and public involvement activities.

Research and Development
• Provide project management of R&D activities
• Contribute to GMMH research governance activities, including scientific appraisal of research applications
• Liaise with the Trusts other Research Units as necessary
• Contribute to the coordination of research activities within GMMH
• Contribute to Research and Development activities of GMMH, including conducting pilot studies, experimental studies, and clinical trials
• Contribute to disseminating research findings

Information Technology and Resources
• Ensure maintenance and safe storage of research records and related documents in line with GDPR and Trust and University Information Governance
• Ensure safe use of equipment, including relevant safety checks in line with Trust policies and procedures
• Undertake quality assurance checks as appropriate
• Liaise with R&I and other relevant teams to ensure staff have access to equipment needed to undertake their roles, including relevant statistical and qualitative software/databases
• Produce regular reports regarding GM.Digital RU activities in line with agreed milestones and performance indicators

Financial and Physical Resources
• Be a responsible authorised signatory for payments as delegated e.g., for equipment, travel expenses and training. This can also include significant payments for recharges to other institutions such as Higher Education Institutions (HEI) and other NHS Trusts
• Manage and monitor project spending including regular meetings with the designated GMMH Research Finance Manager, HEI and NIHR Research Finance Managers when necessary
• Observe personal duty of care in relation to equipment and resources at work
• Provide cover for management of petty cash float system for the department
• Produce accurate and timely costings for the GM.Digital RU, including effective management of related grants, contracts, payment schedules, invoices etc.

The Trial Manager recruited for this post will work on the Bipolar At Risk Trial II (BART II) funded via the Efficacy and Mechanism Evaluation Program within the NIHR. The trial manager will coordinate a multifunctional team consisting of site leads and research assistants at 5 UK sites, clinician(s), statistician(s), and service user reference group members in the project management of this trial. This will include, but is not limited to, study oversight including regulatory approvals, ongoing study management, and closeout and reporting. Working with experienced clinical trial support service staff, the post holder will ensure that the clinical trial is conducted to the relevant clinical trial regulations. In addition, the trial manager will have line management and training responsibilities for the research assistants. The role requires a research professional who has experience in clinical trials, particularly in mental health. The suitable candidate will be familiar with the regulatory environment surrounding clinical trials, and the implementation of a quality management system as it pertains to clinical trial conduct. What you'll do

As our Head of Group Public Policy Research & Political Risk, you’ll be responsible for driving the development of policy interventions. In doing so, you’ll develop our strategic approach for the use of lobbying governments and politicians across the UK. You’ll be expected to stay abreast of the key political policy areas of the day in order to develop our policy positions across a number of areas.

In addition to this, you’ll be responsible for:

• The horizon scanning of key issues covering policy and political risk
• Identifying any political risks we might face before developing mitigating actions
• Developing research materials to support regional board communications, influencer engagement and the Levelling Up agenda
• Developing simple, accessible materials on our strategy and purpose for external use

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with the ability to deliver clear, well researched materials for external parties covering our strategy. As such, you’ll be able to deal with highly sensitive and confidential materials.

Along with an understanding of our wider strategy, you’ll have the ability to research complex political policies and how they affect us and our customers.

You will also need a contacts book, the desire to build that contacts book and the willingness to engage with politicians and officials on an ongoing and out of hours basis.

The Development team works across six sites, fundraising for an array of exciting projects and activities at our museums. You will be joining a team with a track record of securing donations from a variety of supporters including visitors, philanthropic individuals, corporate donors, charitable foundations, and government. In a typical year, about 25% of SMG's total income comes from fundraising, helping to pay for redevelopment of museum buildings, exhibitions, festivals, learning programmes and accessibility.

About the role
You will play a key role in supporting the growth of our major gifts programme, focusing on strategic engagement with individuals that have the capacity to make 5- and 6-figure donations.

You will be responsible for identifying, developing and delivering compelling proposals, whilst stewarding a portfolio of existing major donors. Spending time building relationships with philanthropists, you will meet with them to discuss our work as well as approach new contacts and finding way to engage new people with our ambitions.

You might spend some of your day writing proposals and reports on projects being undertaken, to be sent to donors and prospects. To make sure you have the support you need, you'll work with our Development Operations team to manage your portfolio and take donors on a fulfilling donor journey, and work with your line manager on strategies for individuals and projects.

Working on a hybrid basis, this position can be based from our Museum in London or Manchester.

Salary: £31,500 - £38,500 depending on location and experience

To support investigators completing submissions to external funding bodies, e.g.: Research Councils and Medical Research Charities, leading on the costing and supporting submission of research grant applications and provide a full advice and support service to investigators undertaking research within the Directorates at all stages of the research process for submissions to funding bodies, ensuring all costs are appropriately classified between Direct and Indirect Research, Service Support and Excess Treatment.
