£43,000 to £53,000 pro-rata plus great benefits (Work Level 5)

We're looking for a Senior Application Engineer to join us on an 8-month fixed-term contract in Manchester to provide technology-related support and guidance to our Logistics colleagues; making sure that the systems in place are fit for purpose. In this role you'll work in a hybrid way - splitting your time between home and the office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).
As a Senior Application Engineer at Co-op, we'll look to you to design and deliver a range of solutions, from software to infrastructure, as well as providing day-to-day technical support to both internal and external partners. What you'll do
- Provide application design, build, and implementation support related to our logistics and distribution technologies (e.g. Manhattan)
- Monitor and manage the day-to-day service delivery on a 24/7 rotation
- Facilitate and lead workshops to identify continuous improvement opportunities
- Work closely alongside senior leaders across Co-op
- Co-ordinate and lead small teams to deliver project activities within overall business change projects
This role would suit people who have
- Experience of warehouse & transport management systems development (e.g. Manhattan, TES, Paragon) within a logistics and distribution environment
- Experience working in technology; running change and operations for multiple, business critical applications and services
- Good communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to translate technical language for a non-technical audience
- The ability to coach, support, and mentor colleagues; supporting them in their development
