Using a full range of quantity cooking procedures from common or frequently used to new or difficult recipes, prepares a variety of meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, sauces and gravies. On a daily basis, prepares four or more menu items for one meal, which involves planning and coordinating a variety of steps to ensure that all items are ready for serving at the same time. In addition, may prepare menu items using specials or difficult recipes involving many steps, ingredients or long preparation time in preparation of catered or special events.

This position may perform all or some of the following duties as assigned: Greets customers, rings up sales for merchandise, answers phone and checks ID cards to ensure only authorized patrons utilize the program. Answers questions in regards to hours of operation, upcoming events, special events, merchandise availability and cost. Operates a cash register, ringing sales and providing correct change to the customer. Pool and/or Waterfront Lifeguard duties comprise 60% of incumbent's time and include but are not limited to:

• Performs all pool and/or waterfront lifeguard responsibilities (e.g., supervising swimmers/patrons and their activities, monitoring all natural water activities, applying first aid, enforcing safety rules, reporting safety hazards to supervisor, performing water rescues as necessary, etc.).
