A fantastic opportunity to join our Community Dermatology Service as a Healthcare Assistant around the Blackburn and Central Lancashire area This role is ideal for somebody who enjoys working independently, while being a part of a supportive and friendly team, working together to make a difference to how health services are delivered to patients. At Blackburn Endoscopy Unit, we provide a service that offers all types of Endoscopy for elective and emergency procedures for inpatients and outpatients. We offer all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. We are a friendly, fast paced unit and offer bespoke training sessions alongside our induction programme.

The successful candidate will participate as an effective practitioner within a multi-disciplinary unit, demonstrating effective team work and providing good morale within the department and rotate through all clinical areas to meet service need and professional development.



1. Provide care in the clinical area as an effective member of the team.

2. Establish a safe working environment for patients and staff to ensure patient contact and dignity are not compromised.

3. Arrange the reception, admission, transfer and nurse led discharge of patients, assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care within speciality.

6. Carry out the decontamination process of endoscopes and have an awareness of general and specific infection control measures and related issues.

7. Demonstrate knowledge of Endoscopy equipment, the function and application of all endoscopes and systems, potential malfunctions and hazards of endoscopic equipment / substances and corrective action.

8. Maintain appropriate department documentation – e.g. profiles, care plans and electronic record.

9. Co-ordinate safe transfer and positioning of patients

As a Trainee Train Conductor, you’ll interact with a diverse range of passengers making a positive impact on their journey. You'll collaborate with Train Drivers, Control Functions and support colleagues, as you operate the train doors, assist customers with their travel needs, prioritise their safety and ensure their comfort throughout the journey. Merchandising experience preferred however, the right attitude is essential! You will be responsible for completing various merchandising tasks such as planograms/relays, point of sale set-up, pricing, and ticketing.
