Where you will be working Location: Tewkesbury Rd, Longford, Gloucester GL2 9EE The Dean Neurological Centre has 60 beds in Gloucester (GL2 9EE), which is on the outskirts of the town within easy commute from Gloucester, Cheltenham and surrounding villages. The Centre delivers specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise functional ability. It specialises in slow stream rehabilitation where the emphasis is placed on maximising each individual's abilities, comfort and quality of life. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will: Manage a caseload of residents with acquired communication and/or swallowing disorders, with support from your supervisor. Lead group therapy sessions to support residents to develop their speech, language and communication skills. Have access to an on-site FEES service and referral to local Videofluoroscopy service to support with the management of dysphagia. Support with the delivery of student placements. Contribute to audits and service improvement projects. Commit to Continuous Professional Development. How we will support you: A comprehensive induction programme. Job DescriptionThe Site Assistant role is an exciting addition to the Gloucester Academy Team. You will be required to support Greenshaw Learning Trust school sites and associated site staff in a range of duties to ensure the smooth operation of the schools. This role is based primarily at Gloucester Academy, with support to other nearby schools, e.g. Moat Primary.
