2 appointments have arisen for Assistant Harbourmasters situated at Oban North Pier, which is located on the beautiful west coast of Scotland. The post holders will assist the Harbourmaster, and deputise for them as required, in all operations. The successful candidates will be based at Oban North Pier at the Harbour Office and primarily be responsible for the harbour area, the North Pier and the pontoons. In addition, they will cover the other marine infrastructure in the Oban, Lorn and the Isles area as part of the portfolio of marine assets managed by the marine operations team. The work pattern will be an average of 37 hours per week based on a 3 shift rota working either early or late shift including weekends. The hours may be varied and flexibility is required to meet the exigencies of the service. You will be required to take part in the out of hours on call rota.
