Senior Administrator – Key Role in Service Delivery and Client Support

We’re looking for a proactive Senior Administrator to lead the daily operations of our client-centred support services, including assessments and the Hubs Mobility Advice Service. This is a hands-on role ideal for a detail-oriented individual ready to make an impact by ensuring smooth, efficient service delivery and effective volunteer management.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Service & Process Management: Develop a deep understanding of our service areas and supervise all aspects of administration to ensure seamless daily operations. Review and improve processes to establish best practices that enhance service quality.
• Financial Oversight: Manage project funding and accounting, setting up accurate financial tracking systems and maintaining compliance with established standards.
• Volunteer Recruitment & Coordination: Recruit, onboard, and oversee a volunteer workforce, maintaining high standards of performance and service quality.
• Client & Data Management: Provide relevant, timely information to clients and visitors, maintain accurate client records, and uphold data confidentiality in line with QEF policies and GDPR.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WHAT YOULL DO The post is intended for a Surgeon who is developing a specialist interest in Trauma & Orthopaedic surgery with additional option to be involved in Elective surgery. There will be the opportunity to operate on elective and traumatic conditions both supervised and when suitable, alone. Audit and research are an expected part of this role. WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR Applicants should have at least 4 years previous experience in trauma and orthopaedic surgery at ST3 level and be post MRCS or equivalent. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Appointment will be made under local contractual terms and conditions of service for Trust appointed (non-training fellow doctors and dentists). Successful candidates will have an educational framework equivalent to training grade doctors, and there will be a named educational supervisor assigned at the start of the post. Looking for a clinical fellow to help support the General Surgery Department, commencing in colorectal surgery.

The Unit is a busy tertiary referral centre with a catchment area of approximately 3.7 million in the central south coast of England. The Southampton Colorectal unit consists of 12 Consultant Surgeons (2 academic, and 10 NHS consultants).

Managing clinic schedules, rescheduling, and cancelling appointments, and filling new clinic slots. Covering reception desks at all our locations, checking patients in, scheduling follow-up appointments, and addressing queries. Preparing patient packs for outpatient clinics. Our service operates from 7 AM to 6 PM Monday to Friday and from 8 AM to 4:30 PM on Saturdays, and you will be expected to work flexibly within these core hours.
