• The incumbent facilitates major initiatives by providing subject matter expertise on asset valuation and program tools for the management of the National Capital Region’s real estate portfolio. Takes the lead role to ensure the development and execution of targeted program strategies. Maximizes and strengthens business line relationships by understanding and managing customer expectations and perceptions to integrate subject matter expertise into the regional PBS operations and recommends changes to existing procedures and processes that will enhance the service delivery.

Handles disciplinary actions when necessary. Reviews and approves or denies leave requests. 

The Program Manager serves as a Middle Manager of the Program Management Organization (PMO) and manages the work of a large, multi-level organization, and across multiple functions and/or disciplines within a major subdivision through subordinate managers and employees. Provides direction to subordinate managers and employees in the analysis and evaluations required to facilitate the management of the various agency information technology-centric projects. At the entry level of this position, you will:

• Conduct Working Capital Fund (WCF) IT Service Management and IT Business Studies, monitor the assigned Agency IT services and the WCF Data Processing activities, and evaluate service performance to provide recommendations to Service Management Branch (SMB) and WCFD leadership to meet divisional objectives.

The Capitol Visitor Center is a jurisdiction of the Architect of the Capitol legislative branch agency. The candidate creates and implements professional development programs for educators, develops and implements distance learning programs and products and assists in the Capitol Visitor Center's delivery of onsite programs for student and general public audiences. The candidate provides leadership of a team to deliver educational programming and must have flexibility in work schedule, including work on weekends, evenings and holidays.

The person in this position will:
