The role
As an Estates Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for providing the Facilities Management (FM) deliverables at all Engineering Services (ES) Sites, UK and Worldwide for both Babcock Intelligence and Security (I&S) administered premises and those Customer sites where Babcock International has a presence or contractual obligations for delivery of the FM function.
Day-to-day, you'll take responsibility for management of the delivery of all FM-related tasks across the Estate to ensure compliance with relevant Environmental, Health & Safety legislation.
Main Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for ensuring the timely administration of the Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system for both FM deliverables and Contractual maintenance activities, undertaken in the delivery of the ES Contract.
- Take the lead in responding to internal and external audit programmes, working with relevant personnel to identify compliance and progress on non-conformances with a planned corrective/remedial action programme to address these.
- Ensure that service managers are equipped with systems and processes to monitor and record evidence to prove compliance against applicable contractual service delivery obligations, including all statutory and mandatory requirements in accordance with standards and the law.
This role is full time and based onsite at Ashchurch.
Essential experience of the Estates Manager
- Significant and proven knowledge of FM-related business processes.
- Significant and proven knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation,
- A proven knowledge of the requirements associated with statutory compliance within the area of responsibility.
- Knowledge and experience of working with MI Systems and Maintenance planning / reporting platforms.
- Proven ability to build, motivate, lead and develop teams.
- Proven experience of business improvement / change management programmes
Qualifications for the Estates Manager
- Member of Institute of Workplace Facilities Management or working towards
- Possession of a full UK driving license.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Enhansed Developed Vetting (EDV) security clearance for this role.
