Responsibilities

• Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery
• Support and guide the nursery staff in implementing the curriculum and ensuring high-quality care for all children
• Collaborate with the Nursery Manager to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff
• Help in managing parent communication and engagement, including meetings and events
• Contribute to staff training and development initiatives, including performance evaluations and coaching
• Assist in administrative duties, such as budgeting, scheduling, and record-keeping
• Act as a role model for staff and children, demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion
• Progression Path: Take on additional responsibilities related to staff management, operations, and strategic planning to prepare for advancement to Nursery Manager or other leadership roles within the organization.

About the Role

Base Location: Havant / Reading / Glasgow is desirable however can be based anywhere in the UK

Salary: £55,200- £83,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Brand new role which will part of a new team who will be fundamental in engaging and building productive relationships across the SSE Group with IT key Suppliers within their sphere of responsibility. The successful candidate will be be responsible for shaping the relationships with these Suppliers.

Reporting to the Lead Supplier Relationship Manager , SRM shall be responsible for managing and developing productive relationships between IT and Key Suppliers in either Services, Software / SaaS or Telco / Hardware, identified through Supplier Segmentation in collaboration with IT and the wider IT Procurement & Commercial Team. The role holder will act as commercial & contractual advisory between the IT senior leadership teams, and Senior Directors of the relevant BUs with a focus on ensuring that these suppliers are delivering on key deliverables such as service, performance, cost, insights and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Relationship Management. Implement, manage and develop productive relationships between IT, P&C and IT Key Suppliers. Support Supplier Segmentation in collaboration with IT to identify key suppliers.

- Advisory. Provide commercial and contractual advice and insights to Procurement and Commercial leadership and Directors of the SSE Group.

- Governance. Manage a portfolio of Suppliers either within a Services or Software/SaaS or Telco/Hardware category with a value of £50-100m per annum to support the delivery of Procurement & Commercial department KPIs and objectives in line with Procurement Manual, Commercial Manual and the IT Contract Management Governance Manual.

- Management. Manage the performance and develop the capabilities of a Contract Manager(s). Also provide commercial / contractual advice and support to the wider P&C team.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Comprehensive and Proven in depth knowledge and experience of the IT and/or Telco market and Supply chain, including experience in drafting, interpreting and negotiating complex IT & Telco Contracts.

- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a highly experienced in building and maintaining relationships with IT & Telco Suppliers such as Microsoft, Oracle, GE, HCL, Infosys, CapGemini & Vodafone.

- Proven track record in communicating effectively with Senior Management and Directors to build valued and 'trusted partner relationships.

- Experience in leading the most complex technology commercial negotiations and operating with the strategic/long term in mind to ensure SSE is leveraging both financial and operational opportunities across the SSE Group.

- Superb problem solving skills in complex supplier and internal customer relationship environments.
