About the Nursery Trainee Manager Role

As a Nursery Trainee Manager, you will support the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This role is designed for individuals aspiring to develop management skills within a childcare setting. You will work closely with the Nursery Manager and staff to promote high standards of care and education.
About the Nursery
Tops Musgrove Nursery is a 122 place Day Nursery & Pre-School situated in Musgrove, Taunton. The nursery run several extra-curricular activities including Tops Forest School, cooking school, Boogie Mites, yoga, toothbrushing, Football fun and much more!
What does the Nursery Manager role involve?
- Assist in overseeing daily nursery activities, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the Nursery Manager to train, mentor, and support staff in delivering high-quality childcare.
- Monitor and support the developmental progress of children, implementing appropriate educational activities and assessments.
- Foster positive relationships with parents and caregivers, addressing concerns and promoting nursery events and initiatives.
- Help manage administrative tasks, including attendance records, incident reports, and budgeting.
- Assist in the implementation of nursery policies and procedures, ensuring adherence by staff and parents.
- Promote a safe and hygienic environment, conducting regular safety checks and maintaining equipment and facilities.
- Work collaboratively with the nursery team, contributing ideas to enhance the overall quality of care and education.
What are we looking for?
- A minimum of a Level 3 Early Years Qualification is required.
- Have a solid knowledge of the EYFS
- Have a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures
