What you'll be doing

• Queue Management: Ensure all work is cleared to zero every day and/or call centre customer queues managed to agreed standards & service levels. Allocate and manage team members across required work/customer queues switching between queues as necessary.
• Performance Monitoring: Use MI data to track team performance, system compliance, and take corrective actions as needed
• Resource Planning: Plan and allocate team capacity for optimal utilisation, including training for versatility and improving customer outcomes
• People Management: Lead, coach, and motivate team members, set and monitor performance targets, and conduct daily briefings

You will be joining a main contractor based in Birmingham managing civil works on water schemes in the Midlands area. The role – Sales Estimator:

• Increase sales & turnover to minimum £4m within 24 months.

Our UK based design and manufacturing client are recruiting for Sales and Marketing Manager on a permanent basis. You will be predominantly based at the Telford office and will be fully supported by the wider sales, estimating, technical and project teams. This is a newly created role in the company, where the main purpose is to drive new business sales, as well as managing those key regular relationships with the clients who currently work with you. The have ambitious growth plans for the news 2 years and this role will be pivotal in delivering upon these objectives with a more structured sales and marketing plan.

Responsibilities and duties will include, but not limited to:

• Manage & develop existing customer base and key accounts.
• Identify additional customers who mirror existing key accounts and develop those relationships Measure, report and understand customer ‘value’ – Enquiry win rate, year-on-year revenue, customer retention/loss

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need extensive experience in IT project management, with a focus on large-scale transformation projects. At least 10 years of experience in the field is essential, including 5+ years in senior positions where you’ve successfully led significant IT overhauls. Your track record should show that you can deliver complex projects on time and within budget.

You’ll need a deep understanding of cloud-based architectures, with hands-on experience using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. You should also have strong technical knowledge of system integration, software development lifecycles, and IT infrastructure management.

Exceptional leadership skills are crucial, as you’ll be leading a diverse team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You should have a proven ability to inspire and guide teams, as well as influence senior stakeholders across the organisation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for engaging both technical teams and business leaders alike.

Experience in risk management and change management is also key. You will need to show that you can not only identify and mitigate risks but also lead an organisation through significant technological and operational changes.

Qualifications

Additional Requirements
