Independent living
The care service provides person-centred, responsive support for four women with learning disabilities and diverse support needs, in their own home.
Support is available 24 hours a day, including sleep-ins by experienced and well-trained female staff. Our staff work closely with local GPs, psychologist, psychiatrists, speech and language therapists and community / learning disability nurses where relevant. This ensures support is tailored to the individuals in our care.
Livability Conwy provides care at Horsley Drive, a spacious and bright detached house on the outskirts of Wrexham. Each person has their own bedroom which they can decorate as they choose. Our welcoming environment provides communal and individual spaces; everyone can get together in one of two lounges, in the dining room or the private garden. The people who live at the service also have the use of a computer room.
Purpose of the role:
To oversee the day to day running of the services you are allocated to, this includes:
Ensuring the rotas are in place to meet contract hours and meet the people we support needs
Ensuring that support records are accurately maintained
Ensuring that accident/incident records are completed as and when required
To support our delivery teams with:
Providing direct supervision to support staff in line with staff allocation
Providing onsite coaching and mentoring to staff
To contribute to the development of the services by:
Promoting and supporting inclusion throughout the service, identifying and discussing employment and leisure opportunities in the community
Developing plans to ensure that the people we support are active citizens in their community.
To maintain effective Communication by:
Developing and maintaining effective communication systems within the service.
Supporting regular team meetings
Minimum of NVQ Level 3 in health and social care is required.
Car driver is prefferable.
