The Regional Engineering Director will be responsible for providing strategic vision and leadership in the engineering disciplines of manufacturing, test and process. They will collaboratively lead and develop local site leaders functionally in a customer focused team environment. They will have responsibility to develop and align the technology roadmap for the region and work to develop the technical expertise required to execute. In this role they will be the prime professional for new customer interaction and presenting the technical capabilities of the organization. The successful candidate will be a member of the Regional Leadership Team and will develop strategic initiatives and roadmaps for the region. This position reports jointly to the SVP Regional Leader and the VP of Global Engineering.
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leadership and development of Manufacturing, Test and Process Engineering site level leaders
• Responsible for acquiring and developing technical expertise in alignment with strategic roadmap
• Responsible for all areas of engineering, striving for best in class products and business practices
• Initiate and develop innovative engineering strategies and processes to support business performance and operational needs across the region
• Drive Key Performance Indicators across all areas of Engineering for product realization, cost and delivery, maximized efficiency and engineering excellence
• Work collaboratively to drive continuous improvement across the engineering related areas of the business
• Ensuring strong communication between engineering teams across the region to implement best practices and improvements
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
• Presenting technical expertise to new customers, supporting the cycle of introduction, quoting and launch
• Aligning the regional capital equipment plans to the organizational roadmap
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Electronics manufacturing experience preferred required
• Strong background in process, test or product engineering
• Lean Manufacturing (kaizen, JIT, six sigma) experience is an asset
• Eligibility for ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulation) access strongly desired

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $200,000-$240,000 USD per year in our US location OR $200,000-$240,000 CAD in our Canadian locations ; a shift differential may also be provided depending on the work hours. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and benefits. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location, and shift.
