An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and influential professional leader to join our organisation as Deputy Chief Nurse. Applications are welcome from appropriately experienced registered nurses, midwives, and allied health professionals.



The Deputy Chief Nurse will support the Chief Nurse by providing strategic and operational leadership and direction and will deputise across the full range of their portfolio. The post holder will need proven leadership skills, experience at a strategic level, and the ability to motivate and engage others as part of a multi-professional team using sound management and leadership skills.



The Deputy Chief Nurse will have the freedom to act and make decisions on behalf of the Chief Nurse and needs to have a proven track record of considering various factors such as safety, quality, and regulatory issues and use their judgment to make informed decisions where there may be several complicated aspects to consider and no obvious solution. The post holder will also be required to work across the Divisions and in partnership with operational and clinical leaders to create and drive opportunities for continuous improvement.
