You will be able to find a full Job description and Person Specification attached within the supporting documents or please click Apply now to view in Trac Our Assistant Director of Leadership and Culture will: Have responsibility for designing and developing People and strategies, ensuring alignment with the health boards objectives, and translating these strategic and operational objectives into team goals. Champion a culture of inclusion, aligning policies with organisational values and behaviours. Contribute fully as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, deputise for the Director/Deputy Director as required, and present at key meetings, including Executive team and Board. Be accountable for managing key People functions such as Organisational Development and Inclusion and Learning and Development, ensuring timely and effective support to line managers and staff. Collaborate with the Deputy Director for People to provide strategic direction and leadership in developing and delivering the People Plan, supporting workforce modernisation and transformation. Lead the development of the workforce components of the UHB's integrated plan, liaising with key stakeholders and assisting with Welsh Government and other governmental departmental interactions. Drive a culture of inclusion, openness, and transparency, fostering initiatives like Speak Up Safely and Restorative Just Culture, and interpret national and local staff survey findings to enhance staff engagement. Develop progressive employee engagement strategic plans and leadership and talent management strategies, promoting leadership development. What experience and skills do you need to apply for this role We are looking for a natural, credible and enthusiastic leader who is ready to lead a passionate team in this purpose driven organisation. Although it is not essential to have previous working experience within the NHS, we are looking for someone who has significant experience in a leadership and management role within a complex and multi-disciplinary organisation. We are looking for someone who has the ability to gain the confidence from Directors, senior staff as well as a sound understanding of Organisational Development and experience of delivering transformational change.
