As a Facilities Operations Specialist, at the full performance level, you will perform the following duties:

- Manages the oversight of contractor performance for a preventative maintenance program for building systems
- Monitors the implementation of maintenance methods, standards and techniques.
- Monitors and inspects work done by contractors for adherence to state and Federal regulations, conformance specifications, requirements, and compliance with applicable building and safety codes.
- Monitors the activities of all maintenance, renovation, remodeling and new construction projects to ensure performance is in accordance with building code procedures.

• At the GS 11:
• Works with the Senior Project Manager on all phases of administrative functions related but not limited to travel, timekeeping, purchasing (Pcard), space, and property within the Office.

• At the GS 12:
• Works with the Senior Project Manager on all phases of administrative functions within the Office and is responsible for a wide range of difficult, confidential, and sensitive management functions and program activities within the Office.

• Responsible for planning, managing, coordinating and executing a variety of administrative programs and procedures to facilitate accomplishment of Range Division’s operations.

Major duties include the following:

• Manages and administers housing program; managing operations and utilization of family housing facilities, including seasonal housing, housing allocation process, and coordination of maintenance and repair procedures.
• Reviews expenditures for housing operations, develops recommendations for resources, and formulates budget (accounting income and expenditures).
• Coordinates leasing opportunities in the local commuting areas, advises local program participants in preparing budgets, required reports, and budget reviews.
• Arranges temporary lodging of visitors or guests in commercial facilities (hotels, motels, etc.) during unusual peak occupancy periods.

If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for supporting a full range of Field Program Specialist duties within the Department of Health and Human Services/Administration for Children and Families/Office of Refugee Resettlement.

Typical work assignments include, but are not limited to:

• Providing strategic oversight and coaching to improve the quality and efficiency of care and releases at assigned care provider program sites for unaccompanied children.
• Traveling to visit assigned programs in-person to provide monitoring, review case files, and support the effective oversight of care provider programs.
• Reviewing and analyzing data such as incidents, lengths of care, and releases, to identify improvement opportunities for programs.
• Reviewing critical information from the provider about children, their prospective sponsors, to ensure that we are compliant with our policies and procedures.

The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.

• Provide expert advice on the diverse aspects of the Service's emergency management program, including development of policy, plans, and procedures related to mission essential functions and the coordination of mission critical information technology systems required to support them. Recommend policy relative to departmental physical security and emergency preparedness and is considered to be an expert of all aspects of emergency management.

• Support the Service's emergency operations to ensure emergency response and mitigation during an event, as well as employee safety and the security of information and other assets. Provide expert advice and/or guidance on measures which ensure the maintenance of day-to-day operations capabilities; the maintenance of emergency preparedness; as well as assume responsibility for emergency planning and response policies, plans, tests, training and exercises.

As a Land Management Law Enforcement Officer your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Serves as a commissioned law enforcement officer performing law enforcement duties that have been enacted to insure the protection and safe use of National Wildlife Refuge System resources.
• Familiarizes other law enforcement personnel with Federal and state laws governing management of natural resources and maintains liaisons, exchanges information, and coordinates ongoing law enforcement activities.

These positions are located at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks in the Division of Interpretation, Education and Partnerships, and are supervised by the parks' Transportation Specialist. These parks receive significant visitation (~1.7 million annually) and administratively are among the most complex units of the National Park Service. These parks include some 550 permanent and temporary federal employees as well as over 1,000 volunteers who provide a wide range of public service and support operations which are similar to operations more typically found in a municipal city. These are five major divisions, each of which is further subdivided into functional branches.

Duties:

• Monitors vehicular traffic levels against pedestrian traffic and controls intersections with regards to safety and smooth flow of vehicles.
• Monitors parking lots, directing vehicles including buses and recreational vehicles to appropriate parking stalls.
• Answers a variety of visitor questions.
• Explains regulations to park visitors and provides information and advice on park activities and cultural, historic, and/or natural resources history and location.
