Google isn't just a software company. The Hardware Operations team is responsible for monitoring the state-of-the-art physical infrastructure behind Google's powerful search technology. As an Operations Technician, you'll install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware (like servers and its components) and server software (like Google's Linux cluster). Your internship would revolve around real-world industry deployments taking us from a TRL of 7 to 9. You may be remunerated with a combination of salary and share options. 2) (Deep Learning and Machine Learning): Train, and evaluate our computer vision model fine-tuned on synthetic data on a real-world test set.

4) (algorithms) Write an algorithm to turn object detection bounding boxes in pixel space to 3D space using known constraints (baseline algo already researched). Turn it into a ROS2 node.

   • Outsourcing manufacturing - specifying cabling, machining etc. to manufacturers
   • Machine tools - making some parts by hand when we need to quickly iterate
   • Assembly - putting in inserts, bolting parts together, waterproofing
   • Testing - testing the robot’s grout extrusion and cleaning, making minor adjustments to make sure everything is running properly and robot produces nice grout lines
3. Electrical experiments and design
   • Design - most of our PCBs have been designed by interns, aiming to minimise free wires in the robot, speed up assembly, allow easy modification where needed. Generally connecting all modules, controlling power, providing a physical user interface…
   • Experiments - e.g. sourcing and testing various motor and driver combinations to pick for our drive system
4. Electrical assembly (only for R&D, our manufacturing is outsourced)
   • Outsourcing production of cable assemblies and PCBs
   • Where necessary to make modifications - soldering PCBs, soldering power cables, crimping cables
5. Embedded programming
   • Writing object oriented C++ code
   • Keeping the code clean and maintainable
6. Robotics DevOps & Real World Industry Trials (expect to be on site 1-2 times a week)

Role Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that assigned project deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and in line with expectations. This role works very closely with cross-functional stakeholders in Regulatory Affairs (RA), Quality Assurance (QA), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Marketing, and Sales, and must facilitate collaboration to drive project progress, with focus on global market and regulatory compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage assigned project and adapt work as required proactively
• Coordinate internal resources to execute project effectively and ensure resource allocation
• Ensure that all project milestones are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Identify gaps, risks and roadblocks in the project workstreams, gather supporting data, solve problems to drive project outcomes
• Proactively identify and manage risks in projects with required mitigation actions

• A PMP Certification (Project Management Professional) is preferred.

A research assistant position is available in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health to support the Principal Investigators in research projects in the areas of Environmental and Cancer Epidemiology.

Major duties and responsibility of the position include but are not limited to:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and oversee the filing of regular tax returns, tax audit / inquiries and notices from tax authorities, GST/VAT and withholding tax
• Lead implementation of Pillar 2 compliance for the Group
• Assist the group to comply with transfer pricing rules and plan comprehensive tax and transfer pricing strategies through the use of Organisation for Economic Cooperation (OECD) guidelines' and Singapore transfer pricing guidelines' methodologies.
• Manage all Singapore GST matters for the group ensuring tax compliance with GST regulations
• Provide advice on all tax matters including day-to-day tax planning and advisory / operational business support, review of commercial contracts and cross-border transactions, tax reporting and tax due diligence.
• Monitor and analyse the impact of proposed and newly enacted tax legislation on the business in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Identify tax efficient opportunities and assist with all aspects of tax strategy management, business acquisition and restructuring initiatives, tax efficient structuring and mitigation of tax risks.
• Support the tax provisioning process for the finance team.

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in corporate and international shipping tax with prior experience in Big 4
• Familiar with Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and Singapore Transfer Pricing guidelines.

Requirements

• At least 6 years' of experience in the Network Management and Support Services, Unified Communication, Wirecenter maintenance
• Strong knowledge and experience in supporting Cisco Switch, Cisco Router, Fortigate Firewall, Palo Alto Firewall, ClearPass NAC, F5 VPN, IPS, WLC, Access Point and VSS/VLAN Architectures.
• Network Support in the areas of wireless, wired, VPN
• Network certifications eg CCNE, CCNA

Roles and Responsibility:

• Preparation of Piping Material Specification (line classes), specifications/requisitions for bulk and special piping components, vendor quotation evaluations and verifications of vendor documents and piping material take-off prepared by engineers for compliance to project standards or specifications, applicable codes, contract requirements, quality standards and accepted engineering and construction practices.
• To calculate/validate pipe wall thickness, branch reinforcement etc.
• To prepare line index, Material summary (BM/BQ).
• To carry out engineering support work during the construction phase of the project.
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned or designated to him/her by his/her superior.

Requirements:

• Minimum of Ten (10) years in the field of piping engineering involving material, design, production work, 3D model review, stress and construction engineering support.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good knowledge and experience of ASME, ASTM, BS and other relevant standards.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD/AP3D/S3D.
• Basic knowledge of 3D Model review through Navisworks or SPR.
