Do you have experience of supporting young people and/or adults with Information, Advice and Guidance?
We are looking for an excellent and enthusiastic IAG Advisers to work within our Learner Experience team.
The role involves supporting our students at Lewisham College with their employability skills such as CV writing, job applications and interview preparation as well as providing excellent advice around job opportunities, careers, next steps, apprenticeships and courses.
You will also be creating and displaying information materials in printed and digital formats. The postholder will provide support with organising and evaluating events and activities for students to support their employability, confidence, and skills development.
You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience of working with people in support or guidance capacity and be very organised with good attention to detail.
Good digital skills are required, and you should have experience of working MS Office software such as Outlook, Excel, Word.
You will need to be a positive and resilient person as you will be working in a very busy department, interacting and supporting students.
Experience of delivering 1-1 support sessions and group presentations would be an advantage in this role
