About the Role

No two days are the same here at Nottingham City Council, Enviroenergy. One day you could be working on planned preventative measures, the next day you could be responding to a leak on the network. This role is crucial in maintaining the ongoing supply of heat and power to our domestic and commercial customers across the City. We have a lot of exciting projects planned for the future.

The post holder will be working for Nottingham City Council, Enviroenergy department leading on the maintenance of the District Heating Network, encompassing primary and secondary pipelines and associated infrastructure assets. Establish and execute safety protocols, monitoring, and inspection regimes. Ensure the annual delivery of all planned maintenance work and manage reactive maintenance in response to incidents and service failures, including overseeing the emergency callout response for the network maintenance team. Effective risk management of the Heat Station and its operational assets is crucial to ensure quality service aligned with the business plan and operational priorities.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Controls and Instrumentation Engineering or similar and have significant relevant experience.
• Successful track record of delivering service improvements in an engineering environment, effective project management and cross service collaboration.
• Working knowledge of asset management software including: Scada, Pirana and corporate asset management systems.
• Evidence of establishing a performance management culture, including service planning, target setting, performance appraisals and the management of different staff groups.
• Ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills, inspire, motivate and lead by personal example. To have clear track record of successful team development, developing others by creating a culture of innovation and achievement.

As a Coroner's Officer you will be responsible for receiving and processing reports of deaths within Nottinghamshire.

Coroner’s officers work to get information from bereaved families, the police, doctors, mortuary staff, hospital bereavement staff and funeral directors. They will also get information and documents from those who may have been involved in the death, such as witnesses, or those a coroner decides is an ‘interested person’ in the investigation.

You will collate this information and findings of investigations and prepare inquests files for HM Coroner which will also include summonsing witnesses or jury members in accordance with regulations. You work will ensure that all arrangements are in place to facilitate a court hearing.

You must be able to provide the highest quality of service to families, internal and external customers and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have:

Able to present NHCs Quality Safety & Patient Experience Strategy, including the Quality Improvement Strategy as well as articulate wider work going on in the organisation outside of quality improvement. Work with Very Senior Managers and the Associate Director of Quality Improvement on the design and implementation of agreed improvement programmes. Foster a culture of innovative practice through active communication and engagement with a range of individuals and groups across the Trust. Provide a link between identified national innovations, the best available clinical and scientific research in best practice and the individuals, teams and Care Units within the Care Groups.
