To provide consultant psychiatric input to a high functioning community EIS as part of a multi-disciplinary service. The role is to provide a comprehensive assessment and NICE concordant treatment package of care to all patients.

To provide high-quality Mental Health Care for adults following the EIS frameworks

To work closely with other teams and Consultants to ensure coherent and high-quality mental health care for adults with severe and enduring mental health problems within the Heywood,Middleton and Rochdale (Rochdale borough) area

To work with the MDT to support the development of the service, and to attend local and divisional service development meetings

The post holder will be based at the Outpatients department Birch Hill Hospital Rochdale. Rochdale operates an Inpatient- Outpatient model (New Ways of Working) and is staffed by 9 full-time Consultants in Adult Psychiatry and old age psychiatry and a nurse consultant on the female adult ward. Each Consultant Psychiatrist is allocated a Junior Doctor (NW Deanery training schemes) to work with them .

Applicants must be on the GMC’s Specialist Register or eligible for inclusion or be within six months’ of the anticipated award of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Adult Psychiatry at the time of interview for the post.

Low frequency on-call (1 in 31) with full second tier on call and 1 day off after your on call.

Key Responsibilities and Duties: First point of contact for PCN Practice Managers regarding delivery of PCN projects/schemes. Liaise with the RHA Finance team to monitor PCN expenditure and identifying significant deviations from plan. Organisational: To oversee the administration of PCN. Support the PCN Clinical Director to develop strategic and operational planning processes to support the PCNs objectives. Support PCN Clinical Director with writing business and development plans as required.
