Essential skills and requirements for a HGV Class 2 Driver:

• We require you to have a full UK Driving Licence with a HGV Class 2 (Cat C) entitlement.
• An up-to-date Driver Qualification Card (CPC Card)
• In date Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 points on your Driving Licence

Newly qualified drivers are welcome as well as those with experience and all drivers are expected to undertake a short driving assessment which includes a brief written test so basic English is required to complete this.

4. To participate in continuing professional development according to Royal College of Psychiatrists guidelines and to maintain good standing with the College regarding CPD.

6. To contribute to under-graduate teaching.

Older People’s Mental Health Consultant Psychiatrist in the Rotherham Community Mental Health Team. The successful applicant will be one of two full time consultants providing day to day medical support to the Older People’s Community Teams in Rotherham (two consultants in total). JOB TITLE: Counsellor ACCOUNTABLE TO: Psychological Therapies Manager LOCATION: Hybrid JOB PURPOSE: The post holder has the responsibility for provision of counselling services for both children and adults, experiencing trauma, bereavement, and anticipatory grief, due to life shortening, palliative or end of life care, at Bluebell Wood to ensure that they are delivered in line with the ethical and professional codes of conduct pertaining to the relevant registered body. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Key Responsibilities Provide professional, competent, and ethical bereavement counselling in line with BACP requirements. To work alongside the Head of Family Support, Psychological Therapies Manager and Lead Counsellor to provide a robust service delivery. To provide data and reports on services provided as required. Maintain records in confidence and in line with the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations). Seek out and engage in regular clinical supervision. Continue life-long professional learning. To support colleagues in helping to ascertain the correct level of support based on client need and referring/signposting to the most appropriate service. Key Tasks: Provide data and reports on the services provided as required. Maintain accurate notes and appointment schedules using The Care Database, monitoring attendance and cancellations of clients. Raise concerns to the appropriate member of management or Safeguarding Lead in a timely manner to ensure effective intervention if necessary. Facilitate therapy sessions either in person or remotely according to client need. Therapy Hold a small caseload of clients, offering therapeutic intervention in line with professional registered body, (BACP). Work autonomously as a competent practitioner within national, organisational, and local policies and procedures maintaining British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) or equivalent accreditation, working within the professional framework for ethical practice. Make recommendations for referral on where psychological difficulties are more complex and require specialist services/interventions. Work in partnership with other professionals and agencies where necessary, signposting appropriately in situations where the core individual need is not bereavement or anticipatory grief. Maintain a professional level of clinical practice through participation in individual monthly clinical supervision, placing a high value on self-care. Maintain ongoing professional CPD in line with BACP or equivalent requirements for reaccreditation, setting realistic personal development objectives. Taking responsibility for own development and maintaining a professionally relevant development portfolio. Communication Develop and maintain effective therapeutic relationships with children, young people and their families who use the counselling services via their preferred method of contact. Establish and maintain effective communication with relevant individuals and groups to support children, young people, siblings, and family members; including key members of the hospice; volunteers; service users; statutory and voluntary organisations. Develop and maintain effective communication links and relationships with external stakeholders, multi-disciplinary services and agencies, individuals, and organisations, to enable effective signposting where required. Understand the importance of, and maintain, the need for confidentiality in all individual and hospice matters. Service Development: Engage in research and development opportunities. Network with other professionals both locally, regionally, and nationally who offer specialised bereavement services to children and families. Guide Family Support and wider hospice colleagues on theories around trauma, bereavement, and anticipatory grief to support their individual roles; providing specific training sessions where necessary. To hold responsibility for own caseload and be responsible for a defined area of the service, working without direct supervision. To provide specialist speech, language and swallowing assessments and neurorehabilitation to people as day clients as required. To deliver specialist SLT assessment and intervention to clients within specialist clinical areas To work as a member of the speech and language therapy team, contributing to the planning, development and delivery of an effective and efficient service. To provide specialist assessment of communication impairments secondary to acquired and progressive neurological conditions including polytrauma using informal and formal assessment measures to contribute to a differential diagnosis. To provide specialist assessment of complex swallowing impairments secondary to a range of pathologies. To devise and implement individual rehabilitation plans for our clients with complex acquired communication and swallowing disorders ensuring the interventions are of the highest standard using evidence based practice. To assess the need for alternative communications aids and liaise with Communication Aids Centres/appropriate companies for assistance where necessary, to ensure the competent use of any aids by clients and carers. To involve clients and carers in the development and delivery of goals within the rehabilitation plan. To undertake the client key worker role within STEPS Rehabilitation To work closely with other members of the IDT to optimise clients outcome To have a responsibility for developing SLT programmes and services for clients within STEPS, under the guidance of the Lead Speech and Language Therapist. To provide advice to clients, their families and relevant staff on the management of dysphagia. To refer clients where appropriate to outside agencies on discharge and write discharge reports to ensure continuity of care To be responsible for organizing own caseload to meet service and client priorities regularly balancing client related, professional and organizational demands. To undertake duties and responsibilities as defined in the work plan To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work, including the management of clinical risk within own client caseload. To be compliant with the clinical governance requirements operating within STEPS procedures To carry out clinical audits as and when directed To initiate, contribute and lead on specific projects related to service delivery e.g. quality programmes, education and training and contributing to the setting and monitoring of practice standards To act upon and escalate issues as required following STEPS guidance and operating procedures To take part in developing and formalising SLT systems and processes in conjunction with the wider interdisciplinary team To ensure accurate recording and monitoring of relevant outcome measures To contribute to the weekend working rota This description is an outline which reflects the present requirements of the post and is not intended to be exhaustive list of duties.
