About the team

In the role of Senior Officer within the Enquiries and Complaints Team, you will be tasked with effectively managing a wide range of enquiries and complaints. This includes handling allegations of wrongdoing in regulated qualifications, correspondence for the Chief Regulator and Executive Team, and parliamentary inquiries.

You will ensure that all correspondence and cases are managed in a manner that fosters public confidence in the regulated system. You will take a lead role in triaging contacts with the Enquiries and Complaints services consistently and promptly to assess the level of risk and the resources needed for effective responses.

What will the post holder be doing?

Your role will also involve responding to enquiries and complaints swiftly, using relevant information databases and collaborating with colleagues across Ofqual as needed. Additionally, you will play a key role in managing the Enquiries and Complaints teams’ information and data.

Drawing on your existing experience, you will accurately review information and documents, ask pertinent questions, and exercise sound judgment. Building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders will be crucial, as you will need to manage their expectations and clearly communicate your thoughts and reasoning. Applications are invited for a Lead Pharmacist - Palliative and End of Life Care.

Working within the Havens Hospices Care settings and Southend Site pharmacy, you will lead the Palliative and End of Life pharmacy service in collaboration with the senior managers and clinical collegues from both Havens Hopices and the MSE Pharmacy Oncology team.

You will be responsible for supporting the medicines management agenda within Havens Hospices Care settings, providing a comprehensive clinical service for both adult and children & young people’s inpatient services.

You will support the Southend site oncology service with clinical pharmacy activity e.g. chemotherapy prescription verification.

You will need to be an experienced clinical pharmacist, with palliative, end of life and (preferably)oncology expertise, an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal/relationship building skills, have good service delivery and management experience, and a proven track record of delivering change within dynamic environments.

Ideally you will be a qualified independent prescriber.

Main duties:
• To provide, with the support of senior colleagues, the delivery of a medicines optimisation and clinical pharmacy service to all areas within Havens Hospices; be a proactive and engaged member of Havens Hospices Medicines Management team.
• Closely liaise with multidisciplinary colleagues to facilitate a co-ordinated approach to palliative and end of life drug monitoring and control in line with formulary adherence.throughout the organisation.
• Be the point of contact for all hospice staff to aid in medicines-related problem solving and ensure supplies of end-of-life medicines.
• Monitor drug expenditure within specialty, produce budget statements and drug usage reports, interpret and provide analysis and recommendations.
• Develop treatment guidelines with clinicians to promote evidence-based, cost-effective prescribing, considering all relevant local and national policies and procedures.
• Act as an independent prescriber and prescribe as appropriate for patients within designated area of competence.

This role is key for BCA Logistics (BCAL) and will work as part of the central Decision Intelligence function, within the Analysis and Insights team.

As a Lead DA, you will work collaboratively with other data analysts whilst working directly with BCAL, providing Operational efficiency, quality and planning insights.
