We are looking for a Midday Assistant to join our dedicated lunchtime team to care for the children during their midday meal and to help prepare, provide and oversee suitable activities during the lunchtime break.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is caring, energetic and enthusiastic. The role includes helping the children in the dining room and helping them to develop their play skills and co-operation skills during lunchtime play.

Hours of work 11.50 am 1.10pm. Monday Friday.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

✓ To develop the skills of students within the area of the workshop.
✓ To administer the oversee skills training in a classroom and workshop environment within the academy.

✓ To produce a preventative maintenance schedule and carry out such maintenance on all tools and workshop equipment.

MAIN DUTIES

Teaching – The person appointed will be able to contribute to the teaching programme delivering the subject.

BACKGROUND TO THE POST

The main purposes of the SEN Team Leader is to manage and co-ordinate the daily activities of Learning Mentors on our Pershore College site and Cross College for Work Based Learners. To assist with the development of our support provision for students with learning difficulties and disabilities and to support identified students with their learning both in and outside of the classroom. The role will include communicating with various external agencies as well as internal staff. There will be elements of staff supervision and record keeping relating to student progress, retention and achievement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

✓ To manage the team of Learning Mentors (LMs) at each centre and support the Head of Inclusion and Learning Support with recruitment & selection, probation review and performance reviews.
✓ To ensure all LMs are timetabled appropriately and that they fulfil their contracted hours.
✓ To collate student records for the appropriate centre, to meet with audit standards and ensure all learning support activity for the centre is recorded on the College system Spirals Sheets and ProMonitor.

To be responsible for producing and updating data relating to Work Based Learning and Apprenticeships, and for carrying out any necessary administrative tasks related to their caseload of employers and apprentices.
