We’re recruiting a Senior Accommodation Support Officer to provide support to our established team as they assist our participants with their housing needs through effective interventions.



Our team of Accommodation Support Officers work with a caseload of adult males within the criminal justice system, in either a custodial or community setting. As a senior, you’ll be on hand to provide advice and guidance to the team where needed, and we’ll ask you to take care of a small amount of our more complex cases.



We’ll need your excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with referral agencies and stakeholders. You’ll also be responsible for developing high-quality practice among the team through observing and auditing practice, and then providing coaching and mentoring workshops to enable them to develop.



Our successful candidate will ideally already have knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation or experience working within the criminal justice sector.

To support the Business Systems Training Team in the understanding and documentation of the newly designed reports/dashboards
To work closely with the Data/BI Analyst and Business System Team to identify and develop reports and dashboards in PowerBI.
To support the Business System Team and Data/BI Analyst in creating/amending existing /adhoc SSRS reports.
To assist end users in understanding reports/dashboards, providing technical support and identifying any data issues.
To Identify and highlight any reporting issues / risks to the Data/BI Analyst.
To ensure to follow a formal change request process for any identified additional business reporting requests.
To build strong relationships with relevant internal and external key stakeholders at varying levels and across different business functions.

We’re looking for people who like helping people. You may come from a sales, teaching or recruitment background or have some experience in delivering careers advice and enjoy working in a target focussed environment. You’ll need to be flexible as every day is different in National Careers Service. As a Careers Adviser you’ll make our customers feel welcome and comfortable when they attend our service. You’ll need to be able to engage with customers from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. You’ll hold 1-1 appointments and group workshops in a wide range of settings, including careers fairs, community and commercial venues along with one-off pop-ups. You'll also need to be organised to manage your diary and complete admin tasks, plus be confident using IT for delivery and admin tasks. The role is targeted, to enable us to achieve targets that are agreed with our commissioners.

We need your skills to empower and encourage customers to develop a career skills action plan and support them in their learning and development whilst monitoring their progress to build their confidence throughout their journey to successfully starting work, learning or both.

We provide on the job training and will support you to achieve your Level 4 Certificate in Careers Information and Guidance if you do not currently hold this qualification.
